As a parent, it > is hard to keep all of these things straight. The symbols at the bottom of the page describe the "rarity" of the card. Wizards of the Coast (WOTC) prints very few "rare" (the STAR cards) cards for every "common" (the CIRCLE cards) they print. Likewise, they print fewer "uncommon" (the DIAMOND) cards than "common", but there are more "uncommons" than "commons".
