Wizards has updated the printing on all of the Pokemon cards so many times it is impossible to keep up with. However, very specifically they made the change you are referring to: In the beginning, they had '99 listed on Nintendo's copyright. This was an error, and they removed the '99 on subsequent printings. The fonts and colors have changed lots as WOTC has struggled to keep up with demand and shifted to various new print houses.
