At $8.50 per pack! no wonder they have plenty of 1st Edition! No one is buying it! (I sure wouldn't pay THAT much for cards.... sheesh) Keep in mind that "Edition 1" is set as a "percentage of the overall print run" (to the best of my understanding). So, WOTC must try to predict how many Fossil cards TOTAL they will print over the life of the product, and then print a Percentage of this as "Edition 1". (maybe 1% or 0.5% or something...) Obviously, WOTC knew that demand for Fossil would be very high, and that they would be selling LOTS of those cards, so it makes sense that "Edition 1" Fossil would be a bigger print run. In the very beginning--Basic Set--WOTC did not think that this game would be so wildly popular. The "Edition 1" print of Basic Set is probably ending up to be a VERY VERY VERY small percentage of the overall print run... But Jungle and Fossil should be better tuned to what the market will demand. Most of this is me making assumptions about the way things run from what little I hear or read... It may turn out to be totally off... Brian Brokaw
