I'm not sure where the manual says that... Gastly's Sleeping Gas requires that the attacker flip a coin to see if it works. If it DOES work, then the defender gets to flip a coin to see if they wake up right away. Jigglypuff's Lullaby does NOT require the attacker to flip a coin. The defender will be immediately put to sleep. However, the defender STILL gets to flip a coin at the end of the attacker's turn (right away) to see if their pokemon wakes up right away. Brian Brokaw
