Dodrio.

70 HP is nice.

Resistance to Fighting is nice.

Free Retreat is nice.

Attack is a bit situational.

Oh, forget all that!

Dodrio gives your Pokemon free retreats! This is great! Dodrio was THE card added to all of the Haymakers and Wigglytuffs back when WotC was first experimenting with formats with Prop 15/3.

Being able to move around as much as you wants removes Double Gust's drawback. It makes you more energy efficient. It lets you use all those "you can't use this next turn" attacks as often as you like.

Dodrio is good.

Unlimited: Why use a lot of Pokemon cards when you can use Trainers to do the same. 3/5

Modified: 4/5

Draft: 4.25/5 Take this card!

Dodrio

I for one am glad that Dodrio was reprinted in LC. It was an underplayed card when it was legal. Now, we have a few cards that can really abuse the Power, namely cards like Promo Scyther. If all of your Pokemon have free retreat, you can abuse cards like Double Gust too.

In Unlimited, it's quite useful in certain decks. It also helps your Hay Pokemon to retreat easier.

In Modified, I can see a deck made around Promo Scyther and some other cards like it. 40 damage 2nd turn and the chance of playing around with Weakness and Resistance is really nice.

In Draft, it's amazing. Switching around your Pokemon for free (most of the time) means that you can get rid of status effects easier. You can also play your opponent's weakness, giving you the advantage.

Unlimited Rating: 3.1/5
Modified Rating: 3.5/5
Draft Rating: 3.8/5
