Pidgeot Lv. 50 SW
Hey there, today’s COTD is one that I wish had a bit
better of an attack. The high HP rocks, the good
resistance is great, and the free retreat cost is
awesome, but its attacks are slightly sub-par. The first
attack is mirror move, a move that looks cool, yet
somehow doesn’t quite work as it should. First, the
attack does the same amount of damage to the opponent as
done to Pidgeot by an opponent’s attack, that’s OK.
Second, the attack does damage, it doesn’t copy it,
that’s a double edged sword, you can’t use the effects
of the attacks used on Pidgeot, just the damage, but
that also means that if the attack has a cost (Like
discarding energy) Pidgeot doesn’t need to do that
either. Third, the attack has to be done to Pidgeot, if
it said any attack, not just one done to Pidgeot, this
card would see much more play.

Cons –
Sub par attacks
Unlimited – Why? They’ll just OHKO you anyway. 1/5
Modified – Could work if timed correctly. 3.5/5
Limited – Colorless attack + High HP + Free retreat =
Money. 4.5/5
Anyway, I can’t wait for the next new pokemon set “Great
Encounters”,
“I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make
as they fly by.”
