Unlimited - If Smeargle had the baby rule, MAYBE I would use it. Nah nevermind, I wouldn't. 1/5

Modified - The only combo I can think of for Color Pick is with Blastoise SW and Holon Circle, but it's still not that good. Instead of searching my deck for energy, I'd rather search for basic Pokemon so I can get my bench setup and begin evolving immediately, by using cards like Tauros CG, Luvdisc CG, or Corsola SW.
Any tails-fails attack is horrible. Trace is no exception. 1/5

Limited - It's a great starter, since you can thin your deck by 3 cards each turn, which means you'll mostly draw into the Pokemon and Trainers you drafted instead of worrying about topdecking the right type of energy. 4/5

Hello there, hope you’ve had a nice, long weekend. Smeargle is a great starter pokemon in some decks and can do some unique attacks to help you in ways that most other pokemon can’t. Color pick is awesome for decks that have a hard time getting the energy you need right when you need it, it’s really good in decks that can abuse multiple basic energies or lots of energies like Garchomp, Ho-Oh, Blastoise, Kecleon, and Spinda. Having lots of energies in your hand also could save your hand from an impending Absol baleful-wind attack or from team galactic mars, and best of all, the attack is free. The second attack isn’t as great, or free, but for just 1 colorless you have a 50% chance of using one of your opponent’s pokemon attacks, without needing the right energies too. 70 HP is good as he can survive almost anything that will come out early game.

Pros –
Nice HP
Color pick is awesome
Trace is nice

Cons –
Coin flips are evil
He may be able to paint, but he can’t draw anything…

Unlimited – Smeargle here? No thank you, I’ll use Cleffa 1/5

Modified – free energy rocks 4/5

Limited – Multiple types in one deck = this is good 4.5/5

Yay, I won a City championship last week, I'm so happy. =D

My name is Smeargle
And I love to Paint
If you give me 70 damage
I'll probably Faint

Unlimited: 70 is way too less to survive and it's attacks aren't that goog either.

Rating : 1/5

Modified: OHKO food for almost any good Pokemon in the Format. And the weakness isn't to bright.

Rating : 1/5

Limited: Good in Limited because it let's you search for 3 basic energy cards, you can decide wich one you need at that moment.
Color Pick could help you out in a bad situation.

Rating : 3/5
