Yo Whaddup! Hows
everybody doing tonite. Lets kick off tuesdays COTD
with the newest evolution of Rhydon! RHYPERIOR
Unlimited:
So much more stuff to play in unlimited. All stuff
in UNL is wicked fast and strong. It plainly just
doesnt cut it imo. 2/5
Modified:
Well now that stall decks are gone this is a new
kind of stall. Its strategy is to make your opponent
deck out. It doesnt win on prizes or pokemon. I've
noticed in battle roads 30 minute rounds time limit
is a factor with this deck. If you cant deck them in
30 minutes their 80% of the time gonna be ahead on
prizes. Theres some interesting stuff it can be
played with that is winable Jirachi DX, Pidgeot POP
2, Nidoqueen d, Mawhile PK, Mr. Brineys Compassion,
and Super Scoop up. So it has options but it is very
slow. It has won a couple of battle roads. When it
gets going its good but its consistancy is off
balance. 3/5
Limited:
Theres so much better cards to play with. It really
wont ever be spotted in this format. 1/5

Rhyperior Lv. 61
Diamond and Pearl
Rhyperior is a
Stage 2, Fighting type Pokemon that evolves from
Rhydon, has 140 HP, +30 Water Weakness, -20
Lightning Resistance, and a Retreat Cost of CCCC.
The HP is GREAT
(definitely one of the stronger points of this
card), weakness is not the best kind, see'ing a rise
of Empoleon decks, but could be worse, the
resistance is good in that it blocks Metanite,
however a retreat cost of CCCC is ridiculous,
basically meaning that you'll either need to run
many Briney/SSU/Switch/Warp Point in this deck or
never retreat.
Many people use
this card for its Earth Fissure PokePower which
causes the opponent to discard the top 3 cards from
his or her deck. Combo'd with Briney's
Compassion/Super Scoop Up this has the possibility
of decking the opponent in very little time.
However, the downside to this style of deck is that
basically plays defensively the whole game,
generally not utilizing Rhyperior's attack (which
can be inconsistant with a bad setup). This card has
received a lot of hype and has won some tournaments,
but I do not foresee it becoming a force because of
its lack of inconsistancy.
