Tyranitar lv 57

I like the card but I personally do not think it is going to be played 4 energies is a lot even if it hits 100-120.

Off course this is better if you find a way to manipulate your decks top card.

2 energies to do 80 ok but you can only use it to that once or twice in a game

140 hp is nice but terrible weakness and useless resistance puts this beneath a lot of other cards..

Tyranitar Lv.57 MT

Hello there pokemon fans, today’s COTD is one of my all time favorite pokemon Tyranitar. The first thing one notices when they see this card is the massive 140 HP, with that much HP he can survive a OHKO from almost anything. This beast’s first attack has a possibility of doing 80 damage per turn for only 2 energy. If it did only 10 more damage then this card could OHKO the “Omega BBQ Pokemon” Infernape with the addition of a real (Special) dark energies or a strength charm. Tyranitar’s second attack “Ground Burn” has the ability to do 100 damage per turn as long as you use a few Mantine d, only problem lies with the fact that it take 2 (f) and 2 (d) to power his attack. Without energy acceleration, this card lacks the speed to punch fast enough and 100 damage isn’t enough damage for all the trouble you have to go through in order to set it up. The only card I could see this working with would be Delcatty EX, first use Tyranitar and Mantine d to do awesome amounts of damage and discard energy, then use Delcatty EX to clean up the opponents Tyranitar can’t OHKO. You could easily add a few double rainbow energies to this deck and also add Tyranitar d EX to it.

Pros –
140 HP
Possible 120 damage without real (Special) dark energies
Possible 80 damage for 1 (d) and 1 ©
Resistance to psychic

Cons –
Slowish
4 retreat
Weakness to fighting

Unlimited – Way, way to slow here 1/5

Modified – slow, but can still be used to do massive damage 4.25/5

Limited – What did you say? 140 hp? Over 100 damage? All on the same pokemon! Count me in 5/5

If only the unseen forces larvitar didn’t rotate out, then we could use memory berry to use retaliate to do massive damage,
