Name:
Bebe's Search
Set:
Mysterious Treasures
Card#:
109/123
Rarity:
Uncommon
Type:
Supporter
Text:
You can play only one Supporter each turn. When you play
this card, put it next to your Active Pokémon. When your
turn ends, discard this card.
Choose a card from your hand and put it on top of
your deck. Search your deck for a Pokémon, show it
to your opponent, and put it into your hand. Shuffle
your deck afterward. (If this is the only card in
your hand, you can't play this card.)
Bebe's Search
appears to be the update to the classic Trainer
Pokémon Trader. There is a significant upgrade to
make it worth being a Supporter: just exchange any one
other card for the Pokémon Card of your choice. Right
now, at this "in between" stage where we have both
Pokémon-ex and Pokémon Level X, this is a great card.
Celio's Network can't get Pokémon-ex, but this can.
Professor Elm's Training Method can't get Basics
or Level X cards. This can get any of them. Granted,
most decks won't need that level of versatility, but it
is good to have it in the game.
Ratings
Unlimited:
2/5 - Not completely worthless here. There are
alternatives, but it has a small niche.
Modified:
4/5 - If it is going to matter, it will be this format:
once we lose Pokimon-ex, Celio's Network can do
the job (based on the ruling).
Limited:
5/5 - It is search power. Simply put, if you pull this,
you run it.
Sorry for another short review, but this card is again a
simple one: trade something you don't want for the
Pokémon you do. If my Exploudability deck wasn't dead
due to the new format, I'd be replacing my copies of
Professor Elm's Training Method with this so I could
get Basic Pokemon as needed.
