Pachirisu

Unlimited - Crud. 1/5

Modified - One of the most talked about cards in Great Encounters. Getting 3 basic pokemon from your deck onto your bench for only 1 colorless energy is great. Getting rid of Cessation Crystal and doing 40 damage at the same time for only 1 energy is also fantastic. Pachi has relatively high HP for a basic which is a plus. 5/5

Limited - Great for getting Basics out of your deck, when all you've got in your hand are the evolutions. 5/5

Happy Valentine's Day! Today we have the Love Pokemon... er, another card that will probably fit into most decks as a supporter Pokemon. This is the new Pachirisu.

Name: Pachirisu Lv. 30
Set: Great Encounters
Rarity: Rare Holo

Analysis: This card will definitely replace Corsola as the Basic Pokemon retriever in decks. Instead of getting 3 different Basics like Corsola, Pachirisu can get 3 of ANY basic Pokemon from your deck and put them immediately onto your bench. This is really great, especially considering its second move, 'Smash Short,' can allow you to put less Windstorms in your deck. If the defending Pokemon has a Tool attached to it, the attack does 40 damage (for 1 of any energy!!) and discards the Pokemon Tool, along with any other Tools of the same name in your opponent's hand. Its 70 HP will allow it to stick around for a few turns, which should be more than enough time to fill your bench. The weakness is bad (fighting) but it does have resistance (metal). The weakness shouldn't matter much especially since you wouldn't expect to have this guy fighting the main fight.

Modified: Great. This card is just really good in pretty much any deck. (5/5)

Limited: Great here as well. Get a full bench and discard Pokemon tools. This set has 2 Pokemon Tools, so the attack fits. (5/5)

Pachirisu Lv.30 GE

Is it Thursday already? Today’s COTD is a new card from GE that you are sure to see as a starter sometime in the future. It has Nice HP and both of its attacks are good. The first attack is a CFF for (C) for any three basic pokemon, any, no restrictions at all. That’s not even the best part, for (C) you can not only discard a pokemon tool on the defending pokemon, but the attack does 40 damage if you do (Nice for (C)) and you get to discard all of the same tool in your opponent’s hand! Geez, Pachirisu really must have something against poke’ tools…

Pros –
70 HP on a basic is OK
CFF for any three basics
The second attack just rocks!

Cons –
Bad weakness

Modified – Expect to see him soon! 4.5/5

Limited – You will use him if you get him! 4.75/5

Not only all of that, but it also has one nice picture…

“This is not a novel to be tossed aside... It should be thrown with great force.”

This card have been hyped a lot and im glad that i got my play set now. This is THE best pokemon using call for family. Its second attack is useful and may spare you a windstorm or two but very situational. 70 HP is a lot 1 retreat is the right amount. C for both attacks is also right amount.

Good card

Modified 5 (best card at what it does)
Classic 3 ( cess cleffa? No more)
Limited 2

Triple call for family for the win TCFFFTW! Smash short is a great counter to Amulet coin and cessation crystal early or mid game. Great combo with the unowns that attach themselves as tools too because you can prepare your pokemon early on and have bench space too. E.g. summon an unown g and two of your basics to evolve then next turn you can get another three.

Modified: 5/5 - An effective and popular unrivalled starter.
Limited: 5/5 - If you pull one of the more useful setup basics (Lapras if you got amulet/felicity, Igglybuff, Baltoy and the basics in the evolution lines you got). Plus, its an opportunity to search to see what was prized.
