Mawile

Modified - An anti Gallade/Gardevoir card. Mawile can flip the opponent's prizes so Gallade's Psychic Cut weakens, while Gardevoir's Psychic Cut can only do 30-40 damage due to Resistance. You could try this out if GG is popular in your area. Otherwise it's pretty bad. 2/5

Limited - Pickout doesn't have much use here, and Jaw Bite is only an average attack. 2/5

(03/12/08) - Mawile Lv. 32

Name: Mawile Lv. 32
Set: Great Encounters
Rarity: Rare

Analysis: Mawile is certainly the anti-Gardevoir/Gallade. It has resistance to Gardevoir and a free attack which can render Gallade relatively harmless. That's pretty much it, as it has a major drawback in its weakness to Magmortar (buuut it's only +10). Jaw Bite is not really a good attack to have to use. I would basically use this card to start and to thwart Gallade and starting Ralts/T2Banette. Pick Out allows you to flip over any 1 Prize in play for the rest of the game, using it if it is a supporter. This can be good if you face Gallade, as it will lessen the prizes it can flip. If you are not facing Gallade, flip your own prizes to see what you have there.

Modified: Pretty good starter in today's metagame. Watch out for starting Cyndaquil/Magmar/Torchic. (3.5/5)

Limited: Both attacks will not be useful here, as you will get few if any other metal Pokemon to share the Metal energy with and supporters. (1/5)

Welcome, it looks like its Wednesday already. Today’s COTD looks like it could help Vrs. GG but still falls short. The second attack isn’t worth it, and it needs a (M) energy, so you won’t use that much. But the first attack looks good. First you flip over one of your opponent’s prizes (20 less damage from Gallade!) And if it was a supporter you use the effect as the effects of the attack. Looks good, but just think about it. Not only in the fishing engine going around with minimal trainers, but any deck without the fishing engine still only has about 1/3 of it’s deck supporters. 1/3 isn’t good enough for a setup attack, not even 1/2 is good enough yet alone 1/3.

Pros –
Flips over an opponent’s prize
Nice HP

Cons –
~ 1/3 chance of getting second effect off.
Second attacks sucks

Modified – Use it only if you don’t need a setup man and you don’t like GG! 3.5/5

Limited – um… you know the ratio’s I was talking about? It’s about 3/40 here… 1.75/5

Overall it needs to be less unpredictable,
