Tirtouga (Plasma Blast)  We end the week with a look at one of these new Restored Pokémon. You know, the ones that give the mechanic a chance to work. This is in complete contrast to the appalling luck-based lottery of Twist Mountain and the unaided Fossil Item cards.  This is all thanks to the Prehistoric Call Ability. Simply dump Tirtouga in the discard pile via Ultra Ball, Juniper or similar and use the Ability to place him at the bottom of the deck where he can be unearthed with Cover Fossil. It’s a bit of an inconvenient way to get a sort-of Basic out, but way better than it was before.  Once Tirtouga’s out, you just have to hope that he can last a turn for you to evolve him, as the attack is plain awful. Unfortunately, there isn’t really a Carracosta around that makes you want to play him  Rating  Modified: 3 (waiting for a nice evo to work with) Limited: 2 ( difficult to make it work here)
