Illuminating Lightning

Hey Ness, can you help me fix my deck?  It does good, but lately I've been losing to first turn hand disruption. How can I prevent this?

9 Pokémon
4x Electabuzz
3x Rocket's Zapdos
2x Ditto

33 Trainers
4x Professor Oak
4x Bill
3x Computer Search
3x Item Finder
3x Rocket's Sneak Attack
3x Energy Removal
3x Nightly Garbage Run
3x Defender
2x PlusPower
2x Super Energy Removal
2x Gust of Wind
1x Scoop Up

18 Energy
12x Lightning Energy
4x Double Colorless Energy
1x Full Heal Energy
1x Potion Energy

Strategy
Your speed is good, but I see why you lose to first turn hand disruption so easily. You're a little off on some numbers of cards, and missing a trainer that would work great in this deck.

Pokémon
With only 9 basic, it's not hard to see why you lose games so quickly. You probably are lucky to get more than one Pokémon in your opening hand against these fast decks. Add 2 Chansey. It can stall, and it can take out all Haymaker Pokémon, and Wigglytuff. Chansey should help you stall until you get your card drawing back. Also, 2 Erika's Dratini, which can stall against Hay Pokémon, and do thirty for the double colorless. Add two Scythers because of it's free retreat and Brock's Rhyhorn and Gligar, two Pokémon that can hurt Electabuzz pretty bad.

Ditto can be abused, but by your opponent too, for easy knockouts. Get rid of them, and drop the 4th Buzz, 3 should work.

Trainers
The first thing I want you to understand is the power Gold Berry will have in your deck. Gold Berry is very good with Rocket's Zapdos' Electroburn, and unlike Defender, you can keep it on a Pokémon until you do need it.

Drop two of your Bills, and add a Mary, to help get things back into your deck you don't need at the time.

I think you can drop two Nightlys, one should work, for when you do need it.

Play one Narrow Gym to take out No Removal Gym, EcoGym, or any stadium helping your opponent.

Super Energy Removal is great with Rocket's Zapdos' Plasma attack, so add the third.

Finally, add another PlusPower. Two is a weird amount to play with PlusPowers.

Energy
We have room for 15, which should work with all your card drawing. 10 Lighting, four colorless, and one full heal will work. You don't need a potion energy. We're done!

Revised Illuminatg Lightning

3x Electabuzz
3x Rocket's Zapdos
2x Scyther
2x Erika's Dratini
2x Chansey
(Higher basic Pokémon counters first turn hand disruption!)

33 Trainers
4x Professor Oak
3x Computer Search
3x Item Finder
3x Rocket's Sneak Attack
3x Energy Removal
3x Super Energy Removal
3x Gold Berry
3x PlusPower
2x Gust of Wind
2x Bill
1x Mary
1x Nightly Garbage Run
1x Scoop Up
1x Narrow Gym

15 Energy
10x Lightning Energy

Hope this helps. This deck is perfect for anyone who plays in a Hay dominating environment that's popular for first turn hand denial, since it's fast, but can beat fast decks too.
