WOTC CHAT REPORT
October 19, 2001 - by CHRISBO

Hi everyone. The WotC Chat Server was having some major lag times this
week, so they had to cut the Chat short. Given all the new Neo: Revelation
rulings that were being made, there was very little news to be had. But, as
always, I'll give you the best I've got.

Later,
- CHRISBO

SUPER TRAINER SHOWDOWN QUALIFIERS:

master_trainer_mike presents the speaker with question #3 from daytongl:
Any details on the Indianapolis Qualifier (the WCSTSQT page still says TBD)?
master_trainer_mike says, "NOPE! When we have them, we will post them!"

master_trainer_pat presents the speaker with question #58 from
gym_leader_dragona:
Will there be tournaments for ages 15 and up at the WCSTS in Atlanta this
weekend?
master_trainer_pat says, "You would have to contact the organizer for that
event and ask. The phone number should be on the schedule on the website."

master_trainer_mike presents the speaker with question #6 from daytongl:
Can you clarify the policy on previous QT Winners competing in other QTs
(the actual tourneys, not the side events)?
master_trainer_mike says, "Sure, first of all, why would anyone do that? Not
particularly fair in my book but anyway....."
master_trainer_mike says, "We have clarified it, if someone wins yet again
(after already winning a trip) then the trip will bump down to the next
player."
master_trainer_mike says, "It may be different next year (if I have anything
to do with it)."

master_trainer_mike presents the speaker with question #78 from umbreon666:
Any decisions yet on the QT issue about previous qualifier winners playing
and/or winning(or top 8ing) in other qualifiers, and the consequences of
such?(i.e. will trips trickle down to those who have not already won?)
master_trainer_mike says, "Ok, we answered this one earlier. First of all,
you cannot win the trip more than once."
master_trainer_mike says, "So if someone competes again in a QT after having
already won a trip (which personally seems rude to me), then the trip will
go down to the next participant."
master_trainer_mike says, "This will NOT be determined on site though so
don't bug your TO it is NOT his or her call."
master_trainer_mike says, "It will be determined back here at WOTC HQ."
master_trainer_mike says, "This will probably change next year."

master_trainer_mike presents the speaker with question #7 from pkmnx:
I haven't gotten my STS free trip info yet..are these coming soon, or what?
master_trainer_mike says, "You will be contacted. Relax."

master_trainer_mike presents the speaker with question #44 from michel1be:
Do the TO have to sent the results of the qualifiers to the DCI ? What can I
do if the results of a qualifier haven't been sent ?
master_trainer_mike says, "That is incorrect. We follow up with each TO to
make sure we get the results."

NEO 4:

master_trainer_pat presents the speaker with question #75 from
gym_leader_dragona:
Since Neo 3 is out now, do you have any idea when we can expect the Neo 4
set to grace our stores?
master_trainer_pat says, "Sometime next year."

POKEMON LEAGUE:

master_trainer_pat presents the speaker with question #80 from chrisbo:
There have been some rumors going around that Toys R Us corporation has
canceled the remainder of this year's Pokemon League sessions. Can you
confirm or deny this for us? (holds microphone up to MT_Mike)
master_trainer_pat says, "This is untrue, but the Leagues have ended
officially for this year. Most stores will be taking the holiday season off
(they have enough to worry about then anyways) and will restart in January
2002."
