Dear Pojo: You may want to change your opening comment in Phil's letter. Your comment says: "These editorial comments do reflect the views of Pojo.com" So, are you accepting Phil's comments as your views? There's no doubt Phil's a great player. Few people contest that. Even WOTC people I've talk to agree he's great. FYI, my son, Michael Perucca, was the next player on the list chosen to go to the Tropical Mega Battle after Phil's suspension. We obviously benefitted extremely from his suspension. I agree that Phil's DCI rating is tainted. He obviously couldn't be considered for the TMB because of that. I believe he received the maximum punishment possible. I can't truly comment on the severity of the penalty since WOTC isn't revealing the extend of the Fraud charges. I've heard they're worse than Phil is saying. Phil is doing the right thing by working with DCI on discussing the reduction of his suspension. Hopefully he's going about it the right way and trying to convince them he's truly repented and trying to work his way back into their good graces. However, if he's still proclaiming that he's not guilty or that his infractions weren't very severe, I'm afraid he'll never get his suspension reduced. I was a little dissappointed in your slightly negative comment that Phil seldom, if ever, contributed to your Pojo web site. Maybe he had a reason. I'm a regular at the PokeGym, but like Phil, seldom contribute to your site any more. Here's why. Last Spring, my son finally cracked the Top 10 Globally in Pokemon. He was very proud of this accomplishment. When he filled out a Top of the World interview and emailed it back to Ness, it never got published. Not even an acknowlegement was received. That hurt Michael and me. We felt snubbed. So, maybe Phil has a similar reason. (Pojo Note: We would not purposely snub anyone. We are always looking for great interviews to post on the site. Did you follow up with Ness asking if he got it?) I'd like to see Phil back before he's 17. Hopefully, he's taking the right steps to make that possible.
