i participated in a tournament october 30, 1999 at toys r us (does that
count?) in fremont, california. there were an enormous amount of people
there (in the morning when they opened, each register had a box of
boosters with 36 in them, the limit was 5, by the time i got there,
almost all registers were out). i was playing an energy removal deck
without SER (i'm broke)

i dont know how to describe this tourny..... u could say it was where u
play whomever u want for points, and when u get enough points to try for
a badge, u play the gym leader, if u win, u get the badge.... if u have
a badge, u get prerelease aerodactyl... i guess its called a
tourny........ anyways

game 1:
me verses "big" ed (my neighbor, his little bro is "lil" ed because
their names are edward (small) and edmund (big))

he was playing damage swap/bench kill (i dont get it either..... i
thought he should use CURSE and bench kill... oh well) i had a somewhat
good hand.... 2 bills dratini, dragonair, dbc, and water energy, and
removal... i started out with dratini... he had a machop... i billed
twice (they killed me cause in the end i decked myself), i drew double
colorless, horsea, bill, and water energy... billed again, energy search
and dragonair... i put down 1 water ( dont want to get er'd and get set
back twice as much) energy searched (i love to shuffle) for water... and
pounded.... second turn i put down dragonair and dbc, killed his chopper
with slam.... then came the bloody jiggles...... that jiggles single
handedly took out seadra, dragonair, and golduck.... in the end, i had
no cards left in my deck, and it was dragonair vs hitmonlee..... if i
hyper beamed, he couldnt stretch kick my horsea, but i'd deck
myself..... so i decided to slam.... and i got heads/tails and i
lost.......

game 2:
me verse peewee kid (never found out his name):

this game was easy... he started out with poliwag, i had a dratini......
but i also had a dragonair and 2 double colorless in my hand... he went
first... he watergunned me for 10 first turn, i pounded, second turn he
water gunned for 20, i evolved and slammed that sucker to hell...... i
win he doesnt.......

me verse "big" ed (yet again, this time different deck)

this time he had a charizard/raichu deck (better known as firestorm,
because before it was fire/water) i started with a horsea, he started
with a charmander... i had a seadra and a shitload of energy in my
hand.... i smokescreened for 20, and he flipped a tails..... then i
evolved, added water energy, and water gunned for 40....
he had a vulpix on the bench.... i killed it next turn, but the he also
had the bloody pikachu ready.... and he killed my seadra...... but i had
a dragonair somewhat charged on the bench, and an er in my hand.......
removal/slam..... dead..... i win he doesnt.........

me verse bloody kid who took my ninetales (i played him for his scyther,
if i lost, he gets ninetales)

he was the biggest cheater i've EVER seen..... he had his "friend" with
him when he played...... this "friend" of his looked at my hand, and
told him what was in my hand... the bloody kid (person whom i was
playing) also had sleeves on the "rare" half of his deck..... and i
figured, he must be cheating (and he did..... opening hand...... gengar,
gastly, haunter..... hmm.......) however, i killed the gastly (which was
a haunter by the time he died) pluspower&slam..... oh well.. he had a
mime man up next, i didnt mind....... hyperbeam only deals 20..... and
then he killed my dragonair with a zapdos..... that bloody fossil
one....... then my golduck was up next....... err........ kinda a bad
choice..... it was either him or spearow..... i figured...... i could
survive ONE shock........ so i hypered and the zapdos was somewhat
down..... in the end, he got his gengar, and killed all my
horseas....... that cheater...... "i'm just shuffling my deck for
fun".....

me verse josh

he was playing modded overgrowth......(nidoking/venusaur) i was lucky i
kept er'ing all his pokemon (hyperbeam active, er bench).... good thing
too.... other wise he woulda energy transed everything..... in the end i
won...... nothing much to say...... i musta eaten up 15 or so of his
energy......

game 6
me verse gymleader

he had 3 decks, a curse/swap, bench killer, and haymaker....... i was
lucky..... haymaker verse spearow (i knew he was good for
something.....) and my energy removals) i killed off his hitmonchan with
peck (err..... it works.... good enough) then out came buzz man.....
luckily it has free retreat.... i retreated in for a dragonair... and
er'd his ass....... in the end, i killed his bloody hitmonchans with my
spearow and it was game over........

aerodactyl (holographic)
