Hey whats up people? I will tell you about my deck. Of course it is Fire-Fighting. The turnament took place in Corpus Christi, Texas, on 11-6-99, at a card store called The Dugout. I would say about 20 people were there (usually about 40 people go there, but alot of the people were either sick (like my friends Jason, and AJ), injured (like my friend Tom), or on vacation). Now here are the cards in my deck:

Round One

I got a bye since there was an odd number of people and I was the last person to sign up. ^_^ 1-0

 

Round Two

I played a kid with a Grass-Fighting deck.He won the flip. I put out my Growithe as active, another Growithe, a Vulpix, and a Hitmonchan for bench. I had no energy for jab so thats why I put in Growlithe. He had a Hitmonchan in first. He jabed away. I couldn't use alot of my moves because of his Energy Removals. It went like that all through the round. Finally I thought I had a chance. I sent in my Hitmonlee to use High Jump Kicks. He had put in Scyther. He had used a Swords Dance first. Then a slash. He felt like doing the Swords Dance since he had a Defender on him. Thats why I Strech Kicked his Hitmonlee on the bench and killed it for a prize. Then he killed my Hitmonlee. I had no basics so I lost : ( 1-1

 

Round Three

I played this guy with a Body Guard Theme Deck. It was pretty easy. I had my Growithe out only and he had 2 Grimer, 1 Geodude, and something else (a Zubat or a Koffing???). I won the coin toss. I had flared him until he paralized me. At that time, I had Arcanine out and he just kept using Flame Thrower. The only person that was a threat to me was his Geodude (which never really attacked because of a lack of energy). I won it very easily. He had told me that he had picked up the wrong box when he left home (He had his really good deck at home in his Lock Down Theme Deck Box) I won ^_^ 2-1

 

Semi-Semi-Finals

I had to play this one kid with a water deck. I had played really hard. I think I won the coin flip and had a Hitmonchan and a Growithe as my basics. I had Hitmonchan face a Squitle. I had been paralized alot throughout the game. Hitmonchan finally got me a prize but a full health Blastiose came out! Killed my Hitmonchan. I had 4 prizes left and he had 5. I sent in my Arcanine. I used a Take Down and then my Arcanine died. I sent in my last person left. I sent in my Ninetales. Ninetales won over most of the opponents until another Blastoise came out. He killed my Ninetales and then I had to put out an Arcanine with only 20 dammage left. I used Take Down, and died, and then I put in my last person... Hitmonchan!!! But with last hope of winning (He had 1 prize and I had 1 also) he had placed a Plus Power on Blastoise and Hydro Pumped. I lost.: (  If he hadn't had a Plus Power, I would of won. He had 20 dammage left (Due to a Take Down) which left an opening for a Jab. But a Plus Power made the difference. I was out of the tournament
