Eevee, Jolteon, Flareon, and Vaporeon...
They
are the rarest cards in the Jungle Expansion Deck and rightfully so.
Eevee
requires very little energy to Quick Attack, but even his evolved
forms share
Eevee's Quick Attack. Although they have weaknesses they are
real
menaces with the proper bench. The perfect backup pokemons , to me,
are
Ninetales, Porygons, Kadabra or any good water pokemon,
Marowak,
Rhyhorn, Rhydon, and Alakazam.
Jolteon:
70 HP
Type:
Lightning
Weak: Fighting
Retreat: 1
2 Colorless - Quick Attack - 10+ -
Flip one coin if heads 30 damage if tails
10 damage
2 Lightning + 1
Colorless - Pin Missle - 20x - Flip four coins multiply 20
times the number
of heads
His Quick Attacks come in handy and his Pin Missle is quite
devastating if
executed near the beginning of the game. If coin flips
and weaknesses are
calculated it could be a quick way to bag two
prizes. Another reason why
this is a good start game card is that they
require very little energy cards
and a low retreat cost. If you really
want to keep Jolteon attacking than
switch off with Kadabra, Vaporeon, or any
good water or psychic pokemons to
keep any Rock or Fighting pokemons at
bay. Which brings me to ...
Vaporeon:
80 HP
Type:
Water
Weak: Lightning
Retreat: 1
2 Colorless - Quick Attack - 10+ -
Flip one coin if heads 30 damage if tails
10 damage
2 Water + 1 Colorless
- Water Gun - 30+ - For each water energy attached
that is not required to
attack add 10 damage to attack, but up to 20 more
damage
Unless
leading off with Eevee to Vaporeon in a game, Quick Attack will
become
obselete and his Water Gun is good against high energy cost
fire
pokemons. This would mean the need of Ninetale's lure or Gust of
Wind to
buy time for Vaporeon and bring out energyless high energy cost
fire
pokemons. To back this pokemon out is to pull out lightning
resistant
pokemons if such sort of attack becomes a
threat.
Flareon:
70 HP
Type: Fire
Weak: Water
Retreat:
1
2 Colorless - Quick Attack - 10+ - Flip one coin if heads 30 damage if
tails
10 damage
2 Colorless + 2 Fire - Flamethrower - Discard one Fire
energy to use
If kicking some grass use Quick Attacks unless truly
necessary. Here is
when double colorless becomes really handy if two
fire energies are equipped
and you know more fire energies are coming
out. This pokemon needs full
support of trainer cards and other hard
hitting pokemons for Flareon to do
major damage before going down or to keep
him alive.
Eevee:
50 HP
Type: Colorless
Weak:
Fighting
Resist: Psychic
Retreat: 1
1 Colorless - Tail Whip - 0 - Flip
one coin if heads pokemon cannot attack
Benching ends this effect
2
Colorless - Quick Attack - 10+ - Flip one coin if heads 30 damage if tails
10
damage
This the most important pokemon and for any of the before pokemons
to become
active. A good strategy to use with pending evolutions is to
place two of
the three energy card types used by any of its evolved
forms. No further
strategy here.
