AEdude mentions Raticate's Super Fang in his article.  He has a
point...I've pondered using Raticate before...however, I would be using him
as backup....
Raticate's Super Fang attack, in the example mentioned(vs. a Charizard)
would not be as good as AEdude thinks.  First, AEdude, Raticate only
removes the defending Poke's REMAINING energy.  So...here is how the battle
with Charizard would go:

Charizard kills off one of your Poke.
You move Raticate up with 3 energy, using Super Fang to do 60 damage to
Charizard
Charizard(60HP left) gets another energy and must wait till next turn to
attack.
You use Raticate again to do...not 60, but 30!...half of 60 is 30...not
half of 120 is 60(and a Char kill)...so now Char has 30 left...
In this example, your Raticate is now roast rodent....

UNLESS!!!

Charizard doesn't get another energy...your opponent doesn't get an energy
to be able to power Char...

so you get to go again...and Raticate does 20 damage this turn(from the
15pts rounded up...)

And if you survive the next turn, THEN you can kill Char...that took 4
turns...which means you averaged 30 pts per turn...THIS...is where Raticate
sucks.

On my side of the idea though...Raticate is fire fodder, for you to pull
out something that can do the 30 damage to kill Char...or even the
60...Then, and only then, has Raticate earned his expense.
