Okay, here i have listed my top 10 Pokemon, and why they are my top 10. But
first, there are some things i just HAVE to say about some cards.
First of all, you people who think Charizard is dabomb, i don't think so. I
mean, I'll give the dude some credit, 100 damage, 120 HP, that's tight and
all, but the one thing that ticks me off is that frigging discard two
energies!!! Oh sure, use Energy Burn, make all your non fires a fire energy,
but it takes you a whole 2 turns at the least to regenerate that attack!!!
And take it from me, I've known from first hand experience, a LOT can happen
in two turns.
And there's Chansey. Fat little Chansey. Now I used to diss Chansey all the
time, because his 120 HP is only to save him from his own attack. I used to
think the only thing Chansey's good for is Alakazam's Damage Swap. But that
little egg can take a lot. First of all, they are awesome to help build up
Pokemon. I think I would add three of them to my haymaker deck. Because
there's the Chansey Barrier. See, you send out these Chanseys, and it takes
even most haymaker worthy Pokemon maybe atleast 3 turns to crack the egg.
(See, this is the crap Charizard's good for). So yo build up, oh say,
Gyarados, and BAM!!! Dragon Rage. And with Alakazamm where will the damage
go? Heh heh heh, a worthless little Pokemon, with high HP, the damage gots to
stay somewhere, right?
And there is Machop. A lot of people diss Machop, because he "sucks." And
because people have 50 Machops. Well, put them to work. I mean, they've got
50 HP, and 20 damage for one fighting? That's cool!! Considering most Pokemon
are weakend by fighting, that rocks even more. Machop may be boring to look
at, because he's so frigging easy to get. But he can do a lot.
Okay, no, for once, and for all, here is my top 10:
10) Chansey: Damage Stroage Pokemon- As I explained, he has a damage storage
system. If you have an Alakazam. And there's the thing where you can put out
your Chanseys, bring them back with a switch, or a pay the cheap retreat, and
bring out your big Pokemon which you hopefully remembered to build up, and
kill the ohter Pokemon.
9) Jynx: Less life, more damage- What I mean by that is, the fact that Jynx's
Meditate attack rocks!! You do so much damage more each turn!!! I mean, first
of all, she has 70 HP, and she can do 20+!!! That means on your second turn,
you can do 40, and with Defenders and Potions, keep Jynx out long enough, and
it can end up doing 60. Now that's good, especially battling a haymaker.
8) Mr. Mime: The Invincible One- I have to congradulate this Pokemon. It is a
death to haymakers. Mr. Mime kicks bootie!!!!!!!! Now don't go play it
against anyone who does 10 or 20 damage, play it against the big hitters.
Blastoise, Charizard, Venusaur? The Mime laughs in their faces!!! Not only
does it do more damage each turn, but it can block out damage as
well!!!!!!Now who's laughing, Charizard, you iwth your FIrse Spin? But if
your oppenent uses swithc and replaces Charizard with Weedle, your screwed,
but hey, you practically kicked his butt, right?
7) Electabuzz: ThunderHead- This one really whups butt. Now, it has 70 HP,
and for only two energies, it can do 40 damage at the most, and ten damage to
itself at the least. AND paralyze!!!!!!! Now, once it does too mcuh damage,
Super Potion, and hey, the energy deal don't matter, the cost is cheap
anyway. That must be why he is rare.
6) Blastoise/ Venusaur: Venustoise- These guys came in as a tie. Their only
bad thing is that they are stage two. But there evolutions are strong. And
their attack whup butt. There's Blastoise, with 40 for 3 waters, up to 60 for
5. That could take out Charizard in one hit (HA) and do plenty of damage to
other Pokemon. And Venusaur's Solar Beam. That's cool!!! 60 for 4 leafs.
Also, Ivysaur and Bulbusaur aren't AWESOME, but they are good. And Energy
Trans is preety good, for once you get Venusaur out there.
5) Machamp: Most Overlooked Bodybuilder- Most people don't like Machamp
because you can "always" get him in a starter set. Excuse me, I'm not paying
10 bucks for one Machamp and 60 other cards i don't exactly need. But, this
guy is so kick butt. I mean, if Venusaur is so good for 60 with 4, and
Blastoise, 60 with !5!, Why isn't Machamp so good? I mean, look at his
evolutions. There is Machop, who i explained about. And Machoke is just, eh.
But not only will Machamp do 10 damage back for anytime aby damage is done to
him, but he does 60 for 4 eneriges. If anyone hates Machmp, they can kiss his
muscular a-
4)  Scyther: Swordman's Dream- Now this little dude is cool. Put it out while
your oppenent is building up, and he dies 60 on your next turn for only
!!!!!3!!!!!! of any kind, including atleast one plant. Now that is good, and
if that isn't than i don't don't knwo what is. Besides that, I really just
like Scyther. He's so tight!!!
3) Dewgong: Not exactly endangered- Don't go and mess with this Pokemon. Boy,
i can't get over how good this dude is. I mean, he has !!!50!!! for !!3!!
energies!! WHOA!! I hate Seel, but i love Dewgogn. I got Dewgong in a
booster, which i had to split with my sister. I am glad i took Dewgong!!!!! I
cannot strectch how good he is, just take my advice and stuff him in your
deck.
2) Hitmonchan/ Gyarados: Ouchies- This is another tie. First of all,
Hitmonchan. He is a little better than Machop with 70 HP, and Special Punch
with 40 for only 3 eneriges. he is also basic, so he is quick to come out.
YOu people who think Hitmoncahn ain't good are weird. And Gyardos. WHEW! I am
glad I bought Overgrowth instesd of Brushfire. HE is soo good, with !!50!!
for 3 waters!! and 40 for 4 and a chanc to paralyze!!!!!!!!!! But why isn't
he number one? Magikarp.
1) Alakazam: U Can't Touch This- Alakzam has Confuse Ray, which does 30, and,
can confuse. Yeah, duh. And he has 80 HP and Kadabra is good. WHAT AM I
SAYING? it's the Pokemon Power! Keep him out as long as them damage has
somewhere to go!!!!!!!!! You can simply wim that way!! GO ALAKAZAM!!!!!!!!!
Now there are my top 10. These Pokemon came close to making the cut:
Dragonair, Beedrill, Clefariry/Clefable and some others. Put people in you
deck that can do damage +, like Jynx, Tauros, etc. Pokemon that have ow
enetgy costs with high damage. And the trainers. : Switch, Energy Removal,
and Potion, and Bill. Those are the ones you have to have. And last but not
least, make sure you have enough energies! I recomend one color energy and
colorless.
Well, happy battling!
