As I looked through Aerodactyl13's response to Nate's article, I thought to
my self what is this guy thinking?  Well, I want to say which guy I think is
the best, and we all know what Charizard, Blastoise, and Venusaur do, so
lets look at there advantages and weaknesses:

Blastoise:  I mean come on, this guy has his own tournament-winning deck
based around his power alone!  Throw in an good attack that may be alittle
expiensive, but easily powered with Rain Dance, good HP and you got yourself
a winner.  Yes, there is the threat of Electabuzz, but with intelegent use
of Gust of Winds and PlusPowers Electabuzz will fall.  Now his retreat is
expeinsive,  but with the use of Energy Retrievals and his Pokèmon Power, he
quickly recovers. He does not have a resistance to anything, but with proper
cards to back him up he doesn't really need one.  He is a heavy hitter, that
in properly built Rain Dance decks is, usually, brought out on the second
turn fully powered!

Venusaur:  Almost as good as Venusaur!  He may has a very powerfull attack,
great HP, and a great Pokèmon Power.  His power allows you to play with less
Grass Energy and allows you to recover from ER and SER with ease.  His
retreat cost is better then Charizard and Blastoise.  Although he has no
resistance and a weakness to Fire he is still a great card, and I am ashamed
that he is not seen more often =(

Charizard:  Ok, ok, so his HP is very high, and his attack does do 100
damage, but who really cares!  His attack really isn't great at all.
Aerodactyl13 I really dont get why you like it so much!  If you want him to
sit on your bench then let him!  Since you will have to put all your energy
on him, so then what happens to your active Pokèmon, arn't you going to give
them any energy?  So, are you going to sit there and pour all your energy on
the silly dragon while your opponent gets his prizes?  He simply isn't worth
all the energy invested in his attack. Unless you put 5 or more energy on
him he can only attack every other turn, meaning only 50 damage a turn for 4
energy, with a discar!?  That just isn't worth it!  He simply needs all
those HP to get a few of his attacks in!  Ok, so you decide to put all that
energy on him, but then he gets Gust of Winded up there, and is attack by
Blastoise, OW!  His reteat cost is high,  and cant recover fast from it like
Blastoise or Venusaur.  Fighting is not being seen alot anymore due to
everthing else having a resistance to it thanks to Fossil.  IF you want to
go with a strong hitter, then go with Ninetales!  Now the only advantage to
Charizard is that the hole family lines has colorless attacks and Charizard,
with Firespin, has technically a colorless attack.  But, with Muk showing up
more, and more, he will be just a big useless wall in some occasions.

I belive that a Pokèmon deck should not be based around a  single Pokèmon,
but the team!  Blastoise's and Venusaur's Pokèmon Powers not only benifit
themselves but the whole team.  Charizard's doesn't.  Lets face, against a
good deck, you usually wont be able to beat a deck with just a single
Blastoise, Venusaur, or Charizard, so I belive Blastoise and Venusaur are
much better then Charizard (being able to benift the "team") with attacks
that in the long run do more damage then FireSpin.  Is Charizard pathetice?
No. But he is preety darn close =)
