"Hmmmmm. . . Is machop good?"You ask yourself. Well, let me tell you 
something here. Machop is great for quick and fast attacks as a basic but 
NEVER NEVER evolve him. I learned something from Jeremy Woods yesterday, use 
Hitmonchan instead of Machop, because you can do the same amount of damage 
with jab for 20 PLUS... more hp:70 and the ability to use Special Punch. 
When you evolve him, you're most likely to end up dead when you rely on them 
too much. Machoke is basically crap, Karate chop really sucks. After 2 or 3 
hits from your opponent, you can never use it again and you're forced to use 
submission. Submission on the other hand, really delivers the damage BUT YOU 
FREAKIN HURT YOURSELF. AND THE RETREAT COST!!! Man, three energies to 
discard is alittle too much for a stage one! Machamp is actually pretty good 
if you evolve Machoke. The poke-power is great and the move Siesmic Toss is 
pretty good.

The only real reason i see to use machop is to get Machamp out. If you don't 
have machamp then forget it. And you can also use machop for it's quickness 
and attack, he's kinda like colorless Pokemon : Fast and furious most of the 
time. Just don't put Machoke in your deck if you don't have a Machamp. 
You're better off using just Machops in your deck. BETTER YET, DROP THE 
MACHOP FOR HITMONCHANS.
