I was
looking through the strategy arrticles today and say some different letters
comparing chansey and kangaskhan. Some articles said that chansey was better,
while others said that kangaskhan was better. I myself would like to compare
them both. Now, both of them have a weakness to fighting and resistance to
psychic. Chansey does double-edge for 80 and does 80 to himself, kangaskhan's
attack reads: flip 4 coins, this attack does 20 damage times the number of
heads. So kangaskhan can do 80 damage too but he usually does 40 or 60, the good
thing is that he does no damage to himself. The real difference is their first
attack. Chansey has scrunch, you flip a coin and blah blah blah(you all know
what it does), kangaskhan has fetch, it lets you draw a card and it is only for
one energy! Somebody said that the game is about getting prizes and doing damage
and all that bull. Well, mister expert(the guy who wrote that article), what if
you had no energy in your hand and kangaskhan only had three on him. Well,
energy takes up most of the about 1/2 or 1/3 of teh room in your deck so chanses
are that you draw an energy. Chansey's scrunch might prevent all damage next
turn but effects still happen--YEAH, that's really cool(a bit of sarcasm).
Kangaskhan has 90 hp and chansey has 120, so what, kangaskhan has better
attacks. Kangaskhan has retreat of 3 instead of 1 for chansey. The reason for
this is that chansey is for stalling while you build up your other pokemon so he
needs low retreat so he can come back without losing mass energy. Kangaskhan is
more powerfull and is made to attack not stall, so his retreat can be
high(kangsakhan could stall though). So, in my opinion, I think kangaskhan is a
better card for the time being(notice how I said better CARD, not attacker,
defender, or staller).
