Hello Pojo! It's me, OrangeOreo,
back with another single card strategy! Today's card is...JUNGLE ELECTRODE!
Okay. I know that everybody,
including the Pojo magazine, says that this guy is really bad. I was trying to
think along the lines of my philosophies on the rarity of certain cards, and
why this one is a rare-holographic. The reason is because his attack (nor the
rulebook, for that matter) doesn't specifically state that you do not apply
weakness or resistance for his Chain Lightning attack, therefore his is one of
the ultimate Raindance killers. He does 40 to the defender, and then 20 to
every lightning weak Pokemon on the bench. I know that most of you are
probably saying that not all Raindance Pokemon are lightning weak, and you
would be very correct. Gyarados and Articuno both do not have Lightning
weakness, but with the growing use of Dewgong, the Gyarados part is almost all
taken care of. The Articuno, however, is not so easily taken down. He is weak
to nothing, but Electrode's attack still hurts the opponent's bench. This
makes it easier to take out Blastoise, since he's usually a bench-warmer.
Although the Base Electrode is also awesome, he does not have the ability to
weaken the opponent's bench, and has lower HP. Don't get me wrong though, I
believe that he is also a great Raindance killer(100 damage to all Raindancers
except for Gyarados and Articuno.).
