This card provides CC Energy. You can attach this card to your
Pokémon that has basic Energy cards attached to it. When you play
this card from your hand and attach it to 1 of your Pokémon,
return a basic Energy card attached to that Pokémon to your hand.
On the surface,
this card may seem like garbage, but when you take a closer look,
it actually has its uses. For decks that use more than one type
of basic energy in their deck (mantine/beedrill for example) this
could work. Let me explain. Let’s say I run 5 water energy, 5
grass energy, and 3 bounce energy. First turn, I get a water
energy (but no grass), attach it to my weedle (or other guy) and
attack. On my next turn, I attach the bounce energy to weedle and
get the water energy back. I can now re-use the water energy on
something like mantine. This makes it so that you don’t need to
worry about who you are placing your basic energies on as much
because you can always get them back, and continue attacking at
the same time.
Now, the break
down:
Unlimited: 1/5:
just use double colorless energy, the same card with no drawback
Modified: 3/5:
It has its uses here; it can be used for retreating, conserving
basic energies, and other things too.
Draft: 2/5:
Because many good draft cards use pokemon that have colorless
attacks, this can be semi-useful. Attach this to your qwilfish
with a fire energy on it and you can now use that fire energy to
power up your heavy hitter. Simply, it lowers the amount of basic
energy required to make your deck work.
