Story
Dr. Gero rushes to make it to his laboratory before the Z Senshi find him. Despite arriving at the city where the laboratory is located first, Dr. Gero does enter before anyone can stop him. Activating the two new Androids, 17 and 18, Dr. Gero still shakes as their pods open. He is relieved however as they seem to be obeying his orders, something they refused to do before hand. Since Kuririn saw Dr. Gero enter the lab, he gets everyone to join his by raising his ki. Impatient, Vegeta blasts open the door to reveal the Androids of whom Trunks spoke of.

After snatching the controller from Dr. Gero's hands and destroying it, Android 17 turns on his creator and cuts off his head, then precedes to crush it with his foot. The Androids however discover a pod to an Android 16, someone who not even Trunks was aware existed. Frightened by the thought of yet another Android, Trunks fires a ki blast destroying the mountain and almost everyone else in the process. However, the Androids do survive and activate 16. Once done, they simply fly away to search for Gokuu.

Angered that he was ignored, Vegeta flies off in pursuit. Encountering the three Androids after they land, Vegeta challenges them to a fight, and 18 agrees. The fight seems pretty even at first, but because these androids have unlimited energy, 18 starts to get the upperhand.

Packaging
A screenshot of the two new Androids, 17 and 18, is used as the front cover. The text is again given an effect as well as the splash dual-version image. The back cover is once more screenshots and episode summaries. No extras within the casing.

Menu
Same exact menu as the previous two DVDs. What else can I possibly say that I already haven't?

English
The VA chosen for Android 17, Chuck Huber, does an amazing job as the sinister Android. His voicing sounds like a normal teenager but since he has lowered his voice a bit and added a form of diabolicalness (is that a real word? ^_^) the voicing for Android 17 is magnificent. The same goes for the voicing done by Meredith McCoy's 18. Her portrayal of the short tempered female android was excellent. However, the voice chosen for Android 16 sounds like an evil microwave come to life. This is not the voice for such a character who becomes so important later in the series.

Japanese
Shigeru Nakahara's Android 17 was much better than what Chuck Huber portrayed, but Huber did do a good job. The voice is innocent yet evil. The perfect sound for the character. Miki Itou's Android 18 was sexy yet vicious, again the perfect sound for the character. Completely different from the American voice is Hikaru Midorikawa's Android 16. The voice is deep and distant and sounds like a normal person (though he is completely an android). The Japanese version is far above what FUNimation has dubbed for these episodes.

Extras
Again, the same exact extras that were on the previous two DVDs make their appearances once again. Absolutely anything else, anything new would be so appreciated.

Final Thoughts
The Androids whom Trunks spoke of finally make their appearances in this DVD. Though the fighting and drama that makes DBZ great is not present in this DVD, it is still very good. If you have the means, I suggest picking up a copy. Later minna!
