Biohazard to be released on Game Cube only
In an effort to be consumer friendly and allow gamers to enjoy the full Biohazard (Resident Evil) series without having to purchase multiple video game consoles, Capcom announced today that the Biohazard series will become a Gamecube exclusive franchise. A stunning looking re-make of Biohazard is scheduled for release in Japan on March 22, 2002, to be followed by Biohazard Zero, re-makes of Biohazard 2, 3 and Code: Veronica, and then Biohazard 4, originally announced as a Playstation 2 title.

The Gaming Intelligence Agency has already published stunning new images of the Gamecube re-make of Biohazard. While the game will still use pre-rendered backgrounds rather than the full 3D rendering of Code: Veronica, the look of the game more closely resembles a genuine horror movie than any previous Biohazard title.

Licensing of Wedding Peach?
According to unconfirmed rumor published by Anime on DVD, in addition to several pornographic anime titles, Image Entertainment may now be the domestic translator and distributor of the Ai Tenshi Densetsu Wedding Peach series.

Originally broadcast on Japanese television in 1995 and overlapping with the final season of Sailormoon, Wedding Peach was a 51 episode magical girl team bishoujo series very similar to Sailormoon, featuring character designs by Sailormoon character designer Kazuno Tadano. In accordance with the series' title, rather than the astrological theme of Sailormoon, Wedding Peach had a bridal theme, complete with temporary wedding dress battle outfits.

Although less well known in America than its predecessor, Wedding Peach does have quite a loyal Western fan following, and the potential announcement of an American license may come as good news to some fans.
