Exile Dragon

Hi there. I'm the new guy, Saikyo Cardfighter R, and I'm here to drop my thoughts for Pojo's Cardfight card of the day. This week's promo week, and we start with one of the older ones, Exile Dragon. When he's a rear-guard, his ACT skill retires him, and he takes one of the opponent's Grade 0 units with him.

I can say right now that I don't like him. For starters, unless the opponent is the sort who's first Vanguard stays until it can be neatly sacked away on a 1:1 basis, retiring him will only aid in card advantage simplification at best; the starter generally only exists to fill a slot for columns before you ditch it for something better. It's not even good simplification either - you lost an attacker in exchange for a booster the opponent may not want to keep anyway. Worse still are cards such as Conroe, Mecha Trainer, and other units that can be lost almost straight away; then you have nothing to get rid of and he just becomes a 10k Vanilla ruining your ride options.

Get him for collector's value, but don't bother with him in an actual match. He's not worth it.

1.5/5
