What's up, you guys?! It's about time we wrapped up our incredibly weird week with something that's more for personal taste:

Revenger, Dark Bond Trumpeter
Power: 6000
Grade 1
Clan: Shadow Paladin
Race: Angel
[AUTO]:[Counter Blast(1)] When this unit is placed on (VC) or (RC), if you have a «Shadow Paladin» vanguard, you may pay the cost. If you do, search your deck for up to one grade 0 or less card with "Revenger" in its card name, call it to (RC) as [Rest], and shuffle your deck.

...this one is really giving me mixed feelings. Dark Bond has 6,000 Power, and when he's placed on the field, you can Counterblast 1 to call a Grade 0 from your deck to the field Rested, so it won't be able to boost for the turn but at least use their effects if you really need it to. This goes back to where I said that I have mixed feelings as using this effect. The only real time to use this effect is when you're playing an extra Starting Vanguard, like Claudas or Creeping Dark Goat, but any other time, you would have to call a Trigger, and that's the last thing that anyone would want to call from the deck as those are practically what make and break a game for most players, so that leaves having this card as a regular, generic, 5,000 Shield or 6,000 vanilla booster, and honestly, unless it has a really nasty effect, 6,000 these days just doesn't cut it in boosting, so that just leaves it being a scapegoat.

Overall, I would say that if you want to tech it, then go on ahead, but personally, if I wanted a card that's going to go vanilla in a late game scenario, then just give me Charon.

Rating: 2/5
Art: 2/5 (It's a dark oversized kid angel...doesn't make it any better...)
Next Time: Don't the new Oracle Think Tank cards come out soon???

Go Rogue...Go Pro!
...and DON'T be a Sackboy!!!

Revenger, Dark Bond Trumpeter

Closing the week is a card that needs more love. This little beauty can fetch you any Grade 0 Revenger unit from the deck at rest when played. (And no, running two Claudius just for her is dumb, don't ever take up valuable space like that)

She may sound mediocre because fetching crap cards didn't work so well in Gold Paladin. This is totally different. You get to choose where to put her called card, so all you need to do is call pretty much any Revenger trigger behind her and it will replace your Vanguard's booster once Claudius is gone, since the Vanguard will only need 5k to make columns. The extra trigger gone from the deck will provide a pretty much unnoticeable change to the triggers pulled, so why not just grab a free card to make a good field with her? CB1 for a +1 is pretty much how you WANT to spend your CB in Revengers; aside from the Dorint/Blaster Dark combo Dark Bond is pretty much the best spender of Counterblast in the entire deck. You don't even need to worry about the fact it's calling the new unit at rest either; Mid Game, people won't be spending shield to guard the Vanguard at this point anyway, and it's not as though you have an on-hit ability.

Also, because you need to run the two Masquerade cards for lack of anything better, they can cover her low power, as well as anything she calls in the event you have to call them to the side. So you can immediately use her alongside Masquerade to quickly fill your entire field before you sack them away with Raging Form Dragon.

She's one of the ultimate context cards, and needs more love. For serious.

4/5
