What's up, you guys?! So were near that end phase of our Dimensional Robo week, and today, we're looking at a new...Soulmate...for Daimariner...

Dimensional Robo, Daibrave
Power: 7000
Grade 1
Clan: Dimension Police
Race: Battleroid
[ACT](Soul):[Put this card into your drop zone] Choose up to one of your «Dimension Police» vanguards, and until end of turn, that unit gets"[AUTO](VC):[Counter Blast (1)] When this unit's attack hits a vanguard, you may pay the cost. If you do, draw a card.".

...I honestly really want to like this card, but seeing myself really can't. Daibrave has good stats and all, Grade 1 with 7,000 Power, and but the effect ends up making me think that when you use it that you just gave your vanguard a giant warning beacon saying, "Don't let me hit unless you want me to draw cards!", and I think that's exactly what Daibrave does; it makes your vanguard a giant warning sign. Now, in normal situations, that's not bad as that extra effect would cause a sponge effect as to where most people would be trying to guard this as much as possible and leaving less shield for the other attacks, but Dimension Police already do that naturally with their given effects, so adding more to it just seems like overkill. That and if they really wanted to make a threat, they should've let Daibrave just select a Dimension Police unit in general and not just the vanguard to make the opponent decide what's more worthwhile to guard: a unit with an extra critical or a unit that can draw cards...yes it's a rhetorical question...

Overall, I'd personally use 1-2 Daibraves as a small tech, but I wouldn't recommend trying to abuse it.

Rating: 2/5
Art: 3/5 (Looks a bit villainous to be a Robo hero to me)
Next Time: Heeeeeeere kitty kitty kitty...

Dimensional Robo, Daibrave

Fourth in GUNDAM WEEK is a card that actually started as a promo, Daibrave. When he's in the soul, you can lose him from the soul to let the opponent draw 1 card by Counterblasting 1 when its attack hits the Vanguard.

Okay, so let's be critical. He's pretty chance reliant as far as getting him in the soul goes, but at least his cost is efficient enough; CB1 for a +1. I mean you could use Goyusha and dump him there, but come on man, that's not worth the initial -4 AT ALL.

But really, I just don't see him as being able to fit in. Come May, he'll have nowhere to go; you can't ditch the newer Perfect Guard or Karenroid Daisy because columns, Daitiger because he's there to cover Daisy, and whatever filler goes in the deck will more often than not be Dailander, because then that gives Daiyusha SOMETHING to do.

All in all, he wouldn't have sucked so badly if D-Robos got another, easily fulfill-able 11k beater who was also a Robo. But we don't. Sucks to be Daibrave.

1.5/5
