Ooh, a card that I can REALLY review with confidence. Venus Luquier. For an ACT skill of Counterblast of 2 Silver Thorns and Soulcharging 2, you call rear-guards from the soul who's Grades equal 6 maximum.

Problems? Well, let's start with the very generous assumption that your field will be quite bare come LATE GAME, when the field should be nearly full by then. If you've lost a booster and both your front row, then it's essentially CB2 for +3. Efficient, but not really going towards murdering the opponent soon.

Second problem is that the Soulcharging generally won't amount to much. All it's doing is giving you two random chances at getting something that will be better than what you have currently. And that won't help when Pale Moon's about swapping attacks mid-battle upon hitting something (which as I've mentioned before is a tall order come Late Game when everything remotely related to on-hits will be guarded).

Venus isn't on the same level of puke and fail as her Reverse counterpart but she still fails to make me mildly moist.

Ah, a new Silver Thorn boss.  After being freed from the Reverse, her body was scarred from the remains of when she was Reversed, thus her hair had changed color, among other things.

So, for another Cross Ride of this week, sheesh, what is this?  Cross Ride week?  What do we get here?

Well, you get to CB 2 Silver Thorns (darn, can't be used with basic Pale Moons), Soul Charge 2 cards, then superior call as many units from the Soul as you want, so long as the total grade level is 6 or less.  So, basically, you can get a Grade 3, three grade 1s or a grade 2 and four grade 1s.  Combine this with something like Purple Trapeziest, and you can replace one of the grade 1s you got (provided you got a grade 2 as well) for another Grade 2 or a Grade 3 in the Soul.

So, it's pretty similar to the original, but no power boost for superior calling units.

Overall, it's not bad, it really depends on what you have in the Soul, but Pale Moon are experts at manipulating the Soul, for them, the Soul is a second hand.

Rating: 3.75/5 (Yeah, it's an oddball number, but it's pretty good)
