Holy Dragon, Sanctuary Guard Regalie   Well, of course I was going to save this for last. The new face of meta Royal Paladin. Needing a Sanctuary Guard unit as the heart (so at least 2 choices if you don't mind a crap 10k base), it powers up the entire front row by 3k for every G1 or below rear-guard that you have.   Well, meta was never any real indication of quality to me, so if you look at it carefully, what does it bring to the table? 9k to every column for a turn potentially sounds pretty good, 12k if you're running G1s that can Swiss-Army as decently strong attackers. That's good, but not a deal-breaker to me. So of course, we have to look at the ways it can be set up. Most people run this with a Jewel Knight base, using Swordmy to call cheap boosters and Shellie to Swiss-army attack and milk Regalie to death. Since you don't need Jewel Knight RGs for this I can see the logic behind it; if it's easy to adjust, just using all Jewel Knight triggers and if you feel you need to, running the Jewel Knight PG, Swordmy becomes decently consistent.   Maybe it's because I main Kagero and it's designed to fuck up formations exactly like this, but I understand why this is a thing. Sanctuary Guard Regalie is vulnerable to anything that can do an easy board-wipe (Brawlers, for example) but it's a decent build overall.   3.5/5

Holy Dragon, Sanctuary Guard Regalie   Wow, so Bushiroad remembered Sanctuary Guard Dragon?  Well, there's Sanctuary Guard Guarantee, which is a promo that gets +3000 at GB1 for each of your grade 1 rear guards, then there's Archer of Sanctuary that comes out in G-BT04 that calls Grade 1s to the field, with no GB tied to it.   Also, no sub-clan tied to this.  Of course, Sanctuary Guard Dragon is hard as heck to get a hold of, being only from the Mega Trial deck and the price NEVER FREAKING WENT DOWN for it.  Plus Guarantee being a promo...  Yeah, this deck is going to be kind of pricy.   Even worse since it's doing what G-era Royals want to do, but better.   Even works with Swordmy (aka Cancer Cat) pretty well.   Oh, sorry, I was supposed to be reviewing Regalie, not the whole deck, right?   If you have a Sanctuary Guard Heart, this unit gives your whole front line +3000 for each grade 1 or lower rear guard, which is a possible maximum boost of 15000, provided you're running the GB1 10K beaters.  Most likely, you'll get a "mere" 9000 power boost to your whole front line, which still turns Swordmy into an 18000 rear guard for one turn.   Also, Jewel Knights don't care WHO their Vanguard is, most of them only care about the rear guards, so you can mix this with Heloise as your starter, making Regalie swing in for 43000 if you have a full rear guard line of Jewel Knights.   Yeesh, that's really strong.   Course, there are three downsides to this.  The first is that, again, both Sanctuary Guard bosses aren't easy to get a hold of, especially Sanctuary Guard Dragon, which, again, came from the Mega Trial Deck.  The second is that, pure Jewel Knights are much cheaper to build if you have four Swordmys already (which I got right away, so, suck it everyone else!).  Third, Salome + Sabermy swings in for 20K/2 Crit when your opponent is at grade 2 and you can finish them off with Yvain in Legion, and if that's not an option, use Ashlei R for better field control.   And, yes, I've changed my tune on Yvain, it's a lot better than I thought it was, but it only works in pure Jewel Knights.   Wow, I went off on a bit of a tangent there, but I had to get this aired out.   On the other hand, this doesn't require any sort of sub-clan, so if you have the Sanctuary Guard deck, try it out, could be interesting.   This would be much better if it worked with either Sanctuary of Light or Sanctuary Guard Royal Paladins.   Rating: 3.5/5   See you next week, folks!
