Phoenixraizer Drill-wing

Here we have what you ride instead if you fail to get Mega-flare. Phoenixraizer Drill-Wing legions with Flare-wing, and for that, when it attacks, you Counterblast 2 and stand whatever Raizers are both in the front row and have boosters behind them. Normal skill's a generic power gain, as is standard.

Not great compared to Mega-flare, but being a Legion-based Nova Grappler gives enough reason to run it, if only to give Cat Butler a bit more to do. Otherwise, you're going to find standing 2 front-row units generally won't be as explosive.

Nonetheless, he's pretty much the most viable backup to Mega-flare. Use it for that if nothing else.

Hey, Ethics Buster, when did you become a Legion?

Phoenixrazier here was designed to do close range battles while the mate, Flame-wing, a generic 12K beater, was designed for mid-range battles, it is said that there's no weaknesses.

...But what about long range, guys?

I idly wonder if his drill pierces the stars or not.

Anyway, Drill-wing has the standard 3K power boost if in Legion or if a booster is behind it as a Vanguard.  When in Legion, if you have units in the front row with boosters behind them, after Drill-wing attacks, you can CB2 to restand your rear guards.

And, apparently I mis-read this thing, sorry, Conner.  Drill-wing ONLY restands front-line rear guards, not the boosters.

Anyway, if you have a Cat Butler in play, you can get Infinite Hell, Legion Edition, going off if your vanguard's attack gets blocked.  I don't think anyone running this would complain at all.

While Megaflare does put more ample pressure right away, I think Drill-wing's a bit better, simply because you can get upwards of 8 attacks (with Cat Butler) or more (if you have more than one Cat Butler in play) going off.  Course, it requires 2 Counter Blasts each time, but, hey, Infinite Hell required two counter blasts and it only worked just that turn, this can work twice in one turn if needed.

See you tomorrow, folks.
