Holy Dragon, Religious Soul Saver

Message to Nanya: It's fine, man. A lot of Fighter's Collection is generic stuff anyway. Let's just review what's unique and leave it at that.

Well Nanya can't wait to actually start on the cool-as stuff coming this weekend, and since people are getting their stuff early and uploading photos...since we know their English names why not. Starting us off is Holy Dragon, Religious Soul Saver. It needs a Blaster as the heart in order to work, but as a reward for your specific deck-choice, on Stride, you CB1 and G Persona Blast in order to give up to 3 rear-guards 5k. Then, if you have two or more Blasters in the soul, this unit gets Critical +1.

Obviously meant to be used in MLB mostly but that's old news. VERY old news. So how about anywhere else? Well, if you don't mind being 24k base for a turn he works in Seekers to a degree if you choose the Legion Mate Blaster Blade Seeker as the heart...but you'd probably want to Stride into something else really such as Saint Blow or Samuel since those are more functional finishers after a spent Thing Saver. Unless the opponent's on 5 damage and must guard everything, anyway, so it's a tech I guess.

All in all he's basically a slightly meatier Saint Blow for a specific archetype. Get two so he works but he's certainly not a 4 off.

3/5

Holy Dragon, Religious Soul Saver

It's Fighter's Collection week, and we're only a few weeks removed from G-BT-03 with a lot to cover between now and then.

To start us off, a new wave of Strides, ones that need specific units as the Heart to get their skills off, similar to Dai-Earth.

So, apparently, Soul Saver Dragon and Majesty Lord Blaster had a daughter together and that daughter came from the future to help her father fight in the present.

No, that's not the official lore, go play Fire Emblem Awakening!

But, seriously, she looks like Soul Saver Dragon, but to get the full effect, you need to run Majesty Lord Blaster.

So, that skill, when you have a heart with Blaster in its name, which means that this works for Excuplate, MLB, Seeker Alfred, Sacred Wingal or Thing Saver if the latter three are in Legion, as well as Blaster Blade Burst (Japan only promo).  It also works, technically, with the Shadow Paladin Blaster Ride chain (Javelin, Dark, Dragon, Overlord, Gust Blaster Dragon), if you could mix clans, it would work with the last one.

Anyway, when placed on V, CB1 and Persona Flip if you have a Blaster as your heart and Holy Charging Roar up to three of your units.  Yes, that means RSS as well, though, considering the base power is 26000 with a triple drive check, you don't need to do that.

Also, if you have two or more Blaster units in the Soul, this gets +1 critical.

So, yeah, this is obviously MLB support, only downside is that if you have MLB as your heart, the power of this card would be 25000 instead of 26000.  Whoo!  Go 1000 points of difference!

Like I've said before, the best Royal Paladin to work with STD is MLB, seeing as they have similar play-styles, and now you've got a stride to swing in with after you've already swung for 22000 and an extra crit before.

It's a good card, but only for a Blaster deck.

Rating: 4/5 (MLB deck only)
Rating: 2/5 (any other deck that uses "Blaster" cards)
