And now it's the turn of Spike Brothers's Stride bearer. Rising Nova's GB2 is to on attack, put a card in the hand into the soul to call one from the deck. Basically a counterblast-free Dudley Dan, Bloody Ogle, etc. Stride skill is to give the Vanguard...pretty much the same skill, except it costs CB1, and the called unit gains 5k until end of turn.

Pretty bog-standard in every regard then. Which is a shame, because it doesn't really seem to solve the main issue that Spikes need to have a lot of Counterblast open on one turn to beat the opponent to death with. Spikes is really still a deck that's late to take off and yet very greedy with resources. It's great G Spikes is less reliant on drawing key pieces but it's still not a consistent death engine.

But again, like Gaia Emperor, I won't let detract from how useful this can be. CAN be.

So what does the Break Stride for Spike Bros give us?

The GB2 is basically Bloody Ogre's skill, which isn't bad, I suppose.

The Break Stride ability is...

Same ability as the GB2, but with a +5000 power boost to go with it.

Combine this with Dirty Picaro and you can fill your field completely up in an instant.

Again, Bad End+Bloody Ogre is way better, this is quicker, but that combo is way nastier for a final turn push.

Honestly, this doesn't feel like Spike Brothers. It feels more like Royal Paladins, there's very little All or Nothing feel here.

Sorry, I can't recommend this over Bloody Ogre and Bad End.

It's okay if you don't have those cards, because they are expensive.

But if you can, get the Legion+Break Ride combo.
