Mask of Demonic Frenzy, Ericrius

A Dark Irregulars G Unit ends the week. Ericrius's skill is Darkness, and only works on the turn 2 or more cards are put in the soul that turn: on attack, Soulcharges 2, then he gains a skill: if his attack hits and you have 6 or more soul, a rear-guard of the opponents choice is retired, and if you have 15 or more soul cards, he gains 1000 power for every card in the soul until end of battle.

Well, that's more inherently stable than the other on-hit G-Unit and the condition is easy. I actually prefer this one because of how it doesn't contribute to the problem of decking out and seems to take a more offensive approach. Not to mention nabbing 2 soul for Gilles de Rais no matter what is probably more of a prize.

Pretty sweet all-round. Not great, first Strides tend not to be, but shouldn't be overlooked.

[Mask of Demonic Frenzy, Ericrius]

Another first Stride option for any DI deck. Unlike Kisskill Lira, you get your soulcharge guaranteed when you swing, rather than on-hit. (Activating Darkness beforehand is a simple task, so that barely counts as a condition.)

He gets an on-hit skill to retire though, so in Scharot and Amon decks, you can get rid of problematic things *coughLaurel*. The steroid that comes from having fifteen soul is underwhelming, considering if you have fifteen soul, you're most likely gonna stride into Giles de Rais (or whatever the hell Grade 4 Scharot does when he's released in Set 8).

Kick Kisskill Lira to the curb and run Ericrius as your go-to first Stride instead. 1 or 2-of is fine.
