Holy shit u guize, it's the 1000th card review page for Vanguard! *blows suck-ass party whistle* Here's to several more years of cardboard crack devouring our rent money! So I convinced the boss to let us review whatever we wanted for the 1000th review (although if Winston misses it I shall be pretty embarrassed to waste a review on a not-very-iconic card) and so I shall review my new Grade 3 that has actually helped me in my quest to give an alternative out to Magia, Spherical Lord Dragon.

When you ride him, CB2. You then ride an Overlord from the deck at Stand, and then he gets called from the soul to RG circle. His GB1 basically makes him neo Nehalem, granting 5k whenever your Grade 4 Overlord attacks.

I've dropped the X in my own Overlord deck and replaced him with this. I just never saw the need or desire to Legion and Spherical Lord just ensures a smoother ride to the Legend. Relax, I run 10 Grade 3s, 7 of which are Overlords so the Ace is still very much viable, so the addition of soft advantage to kick Magia in the nuts a bit more seemed like a logical conclusion. I know people decry him as bad because he isn't an Overlord, but most of them aren't running 10 Grade 3s like I am. With only neo Nehalem as the main beatstick the deck loses flexibility without this. Also it draws attacks away from the Vanguard, for the more RG-murder-happy players.

Not as crap as he looks. At least give him a chance.
