[POJO]  What do you like best about the PokeMon TCG?
[JM]
I really like the fact that it has people young and old who can play well. And it has many strategies that can win if done well.

[POJO]  What do you dislike about the PokeMon TCG?
[JM]
I really dislike the cost of the cards, it has gotten a little ridiculous.  I also dislike that the game is looked down on as a kids’ game by many of my peers. But it really does have alot of strategy over the kiddie veneer that sells the game. Very few players under 12 are really top notch at the game. Though the 2nd best under-15 player plays at Heroes.

[POJO]  Do you find casual play or organized competition to be more fun?   Why?
[JM]       Well, I like Tournaments more because you play people you’ve never met before. It’s a good place to meet friends.

[POJO]  Where do you usually play?
[JM]
Heroes Aren’t Hard to Find in Charlotte, North Carolina. We have 11 of the top 100 players playing there.

[POJO]  How often do you participate in organized tournaments?
[JM]       I participate in tournaments about 3 times a month.

[POJO]  What was you most thrilling victory?
[JM]
I would have to say when I beat Mark Majdanski to get my 1st  tournament win in only my 2nd tournament ever.

[POJO]  What was your most crushing defeat?
[JM]
I would have to say when my brother Travis beat me with a deck I lent him in a Big Tournament. He just got Wigglytuff up before I did.

[POJO]  Who is your toughest competition?  Why?
[JM]
Well, I would have to say Tony Purrazzella. He’s the only guy I haven’t been able to beat yet. I’ve lost to him 3 times.

[POJO]  What is your favorite card?  Why?
[JM]
Well my favorite Pokemon card is Wigglytuff. His ‘Do The Wave’ attack for 60 is the move that has enabled me to do so well. But my favorite trainer is Professor Oak. Because I have a Need for Speed!!!

[POJO]  What kind of deck to you dread having to play against?
[JM]
Well since my current deck is Wigglytuff/Clefable Low Energy deck. So I would have to say a Fighting/Fire Haymaker with 4 Energy Removals, and 4 Super Energy Removals.

[POJO]  What does it mean to you to be ranked as one of the best Pokemon TCG players in the world?
[JM]       Well to be a Top 100 player was one of my main Pokemon goals when I started playing in September. It means to me an accomplishment of a goal that I worked hard to accomplish.

[POJO]  Do you play the Pokemon video game?
[JM]
Yes, my brother and I own all the Pokemon Video Games. We even own the Japanese Pokemon Card Game, and Pokemon Gold.

[POJO]  Do you watch the Pokemon Animated Series?
[JM]
Yes, every Saturday

[POJO]  Do you have a collection of Pokemon toys?
[JM]
Not really, but I do have a few.

[POJO]  Do you have a favorite card?  Favorite video game character?  Favorite animated series character?
[JM]
Card Game: Wigglytuff, Video Game: Mewtwo, and in the Cartoon:Jigglypuff.

[POJO]   Anything else you would like to add to this interview?
[JM]
I just want to remind everybody that if you try hard you can accomplish your goals.  And oh yeah, HI MOM!!!
