Subject: Re: Question about Dragon balls/forced discard ---------- Original Message ---------------------------------- From: Irmyman Date: Thu, 8 Jan 2004 20:54:39 EST Hi, I recently ran into a problem with something. My opponent was using gohan mysic empowered and he had three cards left. Two of them were dragon balls. Is he allowed to use gohans power and dicard the top three without losing? Wouldnt he lose because he has only had dragon balls left? I lost because he reached his level five. Was this a legal move? Irmyman@aol.com ************** He would still win. Whenever a Dragon Ball is DISCARDED, it is put at the bottom of the deck, and a discard is counted. Whenever a Dragon Ball is REVEALED as LIFE CARDS of damage, then it is placed at the bottom of the deck and the life card is NOT counted. Hence, your friend would discard a life card. Say it wasn't the Dragon Ball. Then he would discard another. It was a Dragon Ball, and placed at the bottom of his deck. Then he would discard again, and that would be a Dragon Ball. That is also placed at the bottom of his deck. He would be alive with two Dragon Balls, and would only need to be dealt one life card of damage for him to lose. Why? Because if a life card of damage would be dealt, a Dragon Ball would be revealed, placed at the bottom. Then the other one would be revealed, placed at the bottom. Then it would happen again, and once it occurs in a full circle, you know that he has only Dragon Balls left. Once he has to take damage and only has Dragon Balls, then he loses. Hope that helps. -- matthewlow@franceslow.com "You will not be allowed to do this to anyone else!" - Gohan --
