Name:
Magmarex
Cost: 5
Race: Rock Beast
Civilization: Fire
Type: Creature
Rules Text:
Shield trigger (When this creature is put into your
hand from your shield zone, you may summon it
immediately for no cost.)
When you put this creature into the battle zone,
destroy all creatures that have power 1000.
Flavor Text:
Is it hot in here, or is it just me? Oh . . . right.
Power: 3000
Mana Number: 1
Artist: Norikatsu Miyoshi
Rarity: R
Collector Number: 43
Set: Shadowclash of Blinding Night
Civilization: Fire kills mass amounts of small
stuff.
Effect: Shield trigger for one, which is always
good. It's second effect is the reason why you play
it though. It kills every thing with a power of
1000. It helps take care of Rush decks which saw a
lot of play at the last CC, one of them making
second place. It's also a soild drop with 3000
power.
Cost: shield trigger, 3000 power, and a mini burst
shot effect for 5 mana what's not to love?
Combos: set it as a shield, and wait for them to
trigger it.
Constructed: 3.75/5 A very nice drop for what it can
take care of, and a soild attacker
Limited: 4/5 creature kill is important here

This week,
we're looking at some fire cards with a lot of
potential.
Magmarex....what to say about magmarex.... It's
nothing amazing. You get to kill all your propellor
mutants and/or kill all your opponent's emerals and
locomotivers. The only problem with this is that
you're killing your own creatures too.
I've seen a survivor deck using 4 of this and it
looked like it worked fine.
Cookie cutter cotd:
Race: bad
Power: Ok but vulnerable to searing wave
Effect: Good if use at the right time or in the
right deck and it's a shield trigger.
Civilization: Hot
Constructed: 3/5
Limited: 4/5
Ferret Mage
Magamarex
Fire Civ.
Rock Beast
Cost: 5
Power: 3000
Effect:
-Shield Trigger
-When you put this creature into the battle zone,
destroy all creatures with 1000 power.
Text: Another dead baby!?! Sue the parents!! Sue
them for every dime! Hahahahahahaha!!!!
Cost: 5 mana...hmmmmm. Not so bad for what this card
can give you. Not good, but no bad. The major
downfall would be that it cost's the same amount as
Searing Wave, and your opponent will have enough
mana next turn to cast most majorly used kill
spells.
Race: Rock Beasts have two evo's as the current
time. One of whom I see from time to time, that
would be Valkrowzer of course. It's cheap enough to
use as evo bait, not much else to say here folks.
Effect: Sheild Trigger is nice to have. It get's
even better that it destroy's all creatures as soon
as it hits the battle zone. Buuuuuuttttttt, and this
is a big butt, it acts as a double edged sword. It's
going to suck when you lose a shield only to have a
sheild trigger creature that kills off all of your
weenies. Although it would be awesome when paired
with Propellor Mutant. Yeahhhhhh.....
Power: 3000. Meh.
Constucted: 2/5 I'm kinda on the fence on this. It's
nice to kill a whole bunch of weenies like Emeral.
But bad when all you have is weenies.
Limited: 3/5 A little nicer. Your best hope is to
have it kill a whole bunch of 1000 blockers.
Art: 3/5 You see, the parents violated the copyright
law on the phrase, "Baby Deathtrap."
