Civilzation: water likes to know thing, including
things that shouldn't be known.
Effect: Hello double edge sword, want to help me
today? That's what this effect is, but first to get
it off it has to attack and not be blocked, which
can be a problem turn 6. When you do attack and are
not blocked the effect goes off though. Why do I
call it a double edge sword? Easy your opponent also
gets to see the shield you turn face up, so they
know if they need to leave it or emeral it into
something different. Why is it good for you? Because
you get to know what it is and when you want it to
trigger.
He's also a liquid person so he has evo potental.
Cost: 4 mana for the 4000 power leaves 2 of his cost
for the effect. the 2 cost for the effect sounds
right as seeing as that what it cost for most of the
other creatures.
Constructed: 2.5/5 I really don't see this being
played often, it's effect is just too hard to pull
off for what you get out of it.
Limited: 2/5 it's a 6 drop, expensive and it's
effect won't be doing much.

Civ: Water. I love Water cards. Except this one.
Effect/Power/Cost: A 6 mana Liquid People with a
less useful effect than, let's say, oh, Crystal
Lancer. Turn 6, I'd rather be double breaking with
Lancer than seeing what shields they have. Although
(I just thought of this) it would never hurt to see
what shields they have, so you don't hit their
shield triggers. But I still prefer Crystal Lancer.
The power level is fine, except I'd prefer at least
+1000 more.

Time to review brand new cards. We didn't have a
release in my area, so this is the first I seen most
of these cards. Here we go.

Power: 4000

Cost: 6 mana for 4000 creature. Not too impressive,
there.
3/5
Effect: If unblocked, you can flip up a shield for
the rest of the game. Interesting, but you still
have to destroy the shield eventually. On the other
hand, knowing what it is can help decide the order
to destroy them.
3/5
Constructed: 3/5, Med. cost monster w/ low attack
and semiuseful effect. Has potential, though
Limited: 3/5, Same as Constructed.
Sorry for the short review, later.

Civilization:
Water, or Blue, has a lot of Draw Power, Bounce, and
Disruption. You mostly use Blue with Corile, Aqua
Hulcus, Energy Stream, etc to increase your options
and decrease your opponent's.
Race:
Aqua Master is in the Liquid People race, the same
race cards like Aqua Hulcus and Aqua Surfer are in.
This also gives him access to be evolved into
Crystal Paladin or Crystal Lancer. The race is nice,
but it is not as well supported as say Dragons or
Cyber Lords.
Cost to Effect:
This creature's cost is 6, like Aqua Surfer. Aqua
Surfer is a shield trigger and has a better effect,
in my opinion. Aqua Master's effect is very
situational, and just flipping over a shield won't
do much good. Sure, you could flip over the shield
you were going hit, and see if its worth hitting it.
Limited & Constructed:
The card really isn't great to use in any format. It
could seem like OK tech, but the cost to the effect
is just not worth it. There are weaker cards that
let you see all of your opponent's shields when
played.

Ferret Mage
Aqua Master
Cost: 6
Race: Liquid People
Civilization: Water
Effect:
-Whenever this creature is attacking your opponent
and isn't blocked, choose one of your opponent
shields and turn if face up. (It stays face up while
it's in the shield zone.)
Flavor: I wish my computer was an Ultracomputer...-Ferret
Mage
I'm gonna get a few things out of the way before I
begin. First off, Infinite Ruin totally rawks.
Second, this is set is really trying to promote
blocker use and race support, as evident by the
card's we'll be reviewing this week.
Cost: 6 mana would usually require several things
from a good creature, Double Breaker, good effect,
nice power. It's also good for it to be of a lower
cost than your evo's. Unfortunately this creature is
one of the bad ones released in this set, and one of
it's main flaw is that it cost too much for it's
power, effect. What's more is that it has summoning
sickness, which means that not only will it won't be
able to attack till next turn, but by 6 mana your
opponent will have enough to cast most forms of kill
spells.
Race: Liquid People are tasty!!! Tasty in that
they're one of the best races in the Water
Civilization. They have two great evo's that are
seen in decks ever since they were released in Evo
Crushinators, so having this card as a Liquid People
is definite plus. What detracts is that it is a
little two high costed to be successful Evo Bait,
where as you could summon many cheaper Liquid People
for the same cost.
Power: 4000 power, not too good for 6 mana. It's
1000 more to be killed by Searing Wave, so only a
few handful a kill spells will kill it. Too bad for
this card that Fire's new kill spell, Blizzard of
Spears, kills all creature with 4000 or less. What's
worse is that with summoning sickness, your opponent
will have that 6 mana needed to cast Blizzard.
Effect: No Double Breaker, I get sick already by
looking at it. Not to mention that shield peeking
was never really fun. But this card is one of many
in this set which hope to bring more and more
blocker use in competitive decks, hopefully that is.
When this creature attacks you can see what hides in
your opponents shields, and so long as said shield
stays in the shield zone it will remain revealed for
the rest of the duel. The only real advantages to
this that you know what shields to attack and what
not to, and if you manage to pull of multiple
attacks then you could possibly reveal all your
opponents shields. But in this instance, knowledge
is not power and all you'll be able to do is look
jealously at those Terror Pits in his shields, not a
lot you can do there buddy.
So....he has sub-par mana/power ratio, uninteresting
effect, and too high to be a really good evo-bait....
Constructed: 2/5 Aqua Master no good....
Limited: 1/5 If you want a good Liquid People then
pick something else
Art:3/5 They fitted two creatures on one card.

Aqua Master? It's a new card, from Fatal Brood. It's
race is Liquid People, thus making it okay. But it's
pushing it's luck. 6 Mana for a 4000 power card?
That violates the Cost to Power rule, and is BAD.
I'm not talking Badass, I'm talking lousy, useless,
etc. It's effect: If you don't stop me, I know
what's your defense. The problem? I can't do
anything to that defense.
It's basically saying it can see what shield you're
using, but it can't do anything about it. Overall, a
really crappy card. It dies to Tornado Flame.
It dies to Terror Pit(What doesn't, besides
Alcadeias?) and it dies to Apocalypse Vice and
Searing Wave's newer version.*
*The newer version I'm talking about comes from this
set also, but it destroys all creatures with Power
4000 or less on the field. You'll see it someday,
it's good enough to have to be played.
Final Ratings?
Constructed: 1/5 ( Never shall this card be used!)
Limited: 3/5 ( The latest set can boost it up
nicely.)
Rarity: 1/5 ( It doesn't deserve it's rarity.
Another of the crappy Water foils. Sell it, or burn
it. There's really no loss.)
