Death Phoenix

This card is Chaos Strike.  A card from Base Set.  Here it is:

Name: Chaos Strike

Cost: 2

Civilization: Fire

Type: Spell

Rules Text:

Choose 1 of your opponent's untapped creatures in the battle zone. Your creatures can attack it this turn as though it were tapped.

Flavor Text:

"You won't escape me!"

Mana Number: 1

Artist: Soushi Hirose

Rarity: R

Collector Number: 72

Set: Base Set

The simplicity of Base Set and how simple the card where in the set simply astounds me the game was this simple once (maybe even now.)

Short and sweet, because this card is.

You can attack an untapped creature as if it was tapped.  If your opponent has an annoying creature you want to eliminate, this is the card for you.  With a simple 2 Mana cost, you could potentially eliminate a later threat, or just a monster you would not normally be able to.

Simple, no?

I like this card.  I would lose it.  It has an effective low Mana cost and could wipe out a Monster you would not normally be able to.

This card. . .

3/5 – most simple card I reviewed yet
