I'm sure most of you are
anxious to find out when and where the Kaijudo
Master Challenges are being held and hopefully in a
few short hours we will know! Until then, why don't
you sit back and read some Card of the Day articles
on Pojo.com? Today we're taking a look at one of the
DragonStrike Infernus Release Event promotional
cards, Thorn Dragon.
Name: Thorn Dragon
Civilization: Nature
Type:
Creature
Race: Earthstrike Dragon
Level: 6
Power: 5000+
Flavor Text:
Gargle: "Battle analysis complete: suggest stay
away from pointy spots." Gabe: "But it's all pointy
spots!"
Rarity:
Super Rare
Set Number:
P16 l Y1PRM
Abilities:
Powerful Attack +4000 (While attacking, this
creature gets +4000 power.)
Double Breaker
(This creature breaks 2 shields.)
Thorn Dragon is a little
underweight when it comes to its stats. Being that
it's a Level 6 and only 5000 power makes it a little
undesirable, especially for a Dragon. It does have
Double Breaker but that should be a given for most
creatures that are Level 6 or higher (unless of
course they happen to have an amazing effect).
I suppose to a degree this
Dragon could prove to be a thorn in your side (pun
intended). With the added in "Powerful Attack
+4000," this card can get over a decent amount of
other cards in this game outside of some Evolutions
and some much larger Dragons.
I feel like this card could
have been a lot more honestly. Even if it had
been at least 6000 power, it would have made it more
optimal to avoid Tornado Flame as well as being
attacked by a Hydra Medusa or Emperor Neuron. If
you're looking to use this card for your Evolutions,
I would consider some of the Level 5 alternatives.
Thorn Dragon isn't a bad card, there's just too many
other cards to choose from that are better choices.
Ratings:
Constructed: 2.50/5.00 (You can evolve it and beat some other
creatures in the face with it, not much else to say
except there are better options.)
Limited: 3.00/5.00 (It's a Dragon in a Dragon set. It has support
here and can come out earlier due to Fire Birds.)
Hope to see you back tomorrow
for more promo cards on Pojo's Card of the Day!
Until next time my fellow Kaijudo Duel Masters, keep
calm and game on!
