Hello again my fellow Kaijudo
Duelists! I'm a little
rushed
today but just because something is thown out there
quickly doesn't mean that there's no thought behind
it, right? Speaking of rushing, today's card is none
other than Draglide the Swiftest.
Name: Draglide the Swiftest
Civilization: Fire
Type:
Creature
Race: Attack Raptor
Level: 4
Power: 2000
Flavor Text:
"Duelists are not allowed to ride creatures,
However, I'll admit that I've been... tempted."
-Master Nadia
Rarity:
Common/Promo
Set Number:
P1 l Y1PRM
Abilities:
Fast Attack
(This creature can attack on the turn it enters the
battle zone.)
Draglide was indeed one of the
swiftest cards in the game during the first few
months of the game's existence. It was generally
only matched by Gilaflame, the Assaulter. This guy
costs four mana to play and can attack as soon as
you play it, however, with only 2000 power and the
power increase of most Blockers being used today, it
is not as applicable or practical.
There are better options if you're
simply trying to get in for an extra attack and the
fact that this card has no support outside of a rush
style deck. The only other option I could think of
would be utilizing it with Dracothane or Return from
the Beyond (although Gilaflame still does it better)
or using it in Megabugs and summoning it off of Hive
Queen's effect to apply extra pressure.
Overall this card isn't that great
overall, however, if you're ever put in a position
where you have no shields and no Blockers... this
card will ruin your day.
Ratings:
Constructed: 2.00/5.00 (It still works in Rush decks but with Drakon
Warchief and Gilaflame the Assaulter, there are just
better options for your turn four play.)
Limited:
3.25/5.00 (A turn four creature that can break a
shield or potentially banish another creature that
attacked last turn is pretty good in limited. He
still has low power but in sealed or a draft he's
alot easier to pull than Gilaflame.)
