Hello and welcome back to
Pojo.com's Card of the Day! Today we're taking a
quick look at a card that used to see a lot of play
in Rush decks but has been cycling out for other
Drakon choices such as Flame Spinner. Let's take a
look at Jet-Thrust Darter.
Name: Jet-Thrust Darter
Civilization: Fire
Type:
Creature
Race: Dune Gecko
Level: 3
Power: 1000
Flavor Text:
Their astounding speed catches even experienced
duelists off guard.
Rarity:
Common
Set Number:
40/55 l 4EVO
Abilities:
Fast Attack (This creature can attack on the
turn it enters the battle zone.)
Jet-Thrust Darter is one of the
cheapest costing Fast Attackers in the entire game
of Kaijudo. It's balanced out by only having 1000
power and that it's a level 3 creature. It doesn't
really have any relevant evolutions that are played
in Rush decks currently.
This is a great card for early
aggression and if you're trying to win as soon as
you can, however, it can make you more susceptible
to shield blasts including the dreaded Bottle of
Wishes. Overall a fairly underwhelming card when you
can run a level 4 with 5000 power also with Fast
Attack.
This card could still see some
play, however, most people are focused on using
Drakons or Enforcers to do their fast attacking for
them. With the new set just about two weeks away,
I'm sure we'll get even more tools to try out for
those of us who use Rush decks. Until then, we'll
need to work with what we have and overall, this
card does what it's designed to do.
Ratings:
Constructed: 2.50/5.00 (The only deck it really fits in is Rush and
even then it has little cohesion with the deck in
terms of evolutions and is easily dealt with by just
about any Blocker.)
Limited:
3.25/5.00 (You can go aggressive against your
opponent and not have to worry about Bottle of
Wishes in the sealed format. Sealed play is often
won by those who can attack the fastest or buy
enough time to get their larger creatures out.)
