Hello my fellow Kaijudo Duel
Masters out there! It’s Friday and I’ve got number
four on my list of top ten cards from Invasion Earth
for you all! This card has a ton of power and
potential if you can get it out or manage to pull it
from one of your packs! Let’s take a look at today’s
card, Cassiopeia Starborn.
Name: Cassiopeia
Starborn
Civilization: Light
Type: Creature
Race: Celestial Dragon
Level: 10
Power: 12500
Flavor Text: “The sun erupted, and
Cassiopeia- majestic and cloaked in bright light-
emerged. It was clear: the sun had borne a dragon.”
–The Dragon Scrolls
Rarity: Super Rare
Set Number: S1/S10 l 10INV
Abilities:
Triple Breaker (This creature breaks 3
shields.)
Supernova- When this creature enters the battle
zone, tap all enemy creatures. They don’t untap at
the start of your opponent’s next turn.
First of all, apparently it’s
pronounced Cassi-Oh-Peeah or something like that… at
least that’s what the internet is telling me, and we
all know that the internet is always right, right?
Cassi, for short, is the first level 10 creature in
this game to not be a Monarch! I think that in
itself is a huge step for regular creatures out
there.
At level 9, we’ve seen a lot of
cards have some tremendously powerful effects. Take
a look at Andromeda of the Citadel or Infernus the
Awakened for example. By adding one level we give
this card a lot of power and an unbelievable effect.
12500 power is nothing to laugh
at. It’s true that it’s still weaker than Infernus
the Awakened but it out-battles cards like
Dracothane and Andromeda with ease. Aside from the
fact that Cassi can triple break your opponent’s
shields, it’s ability “Supernova” will set you up to
clear your opponent’s board or just allow you to go
in for game instead by tapping all of your
opponent’s creatures, and keeping them tapped. Cassi
is basically the light’s version of Squillace
Scourge but with easier outlets to get it into play
via Herald of Infernus and all of the Fire Birds.
This card can single-handedly
put a stop to all of your plans but is still
manageable if you need to find a way around it. Just
as long as you never let your opponent ever get out
Var-rakka and Cassi and you’ll be okay! There’s a
good chance that we could see some players build a
Celestial Dragon deck in the future using this card,
Andromeda, Lyra, and Orion, but only time will tell.
Until then, try to get ahold of a couple of this
card while you still can, because I don’t see this
card’s popularity going down anytime soon.
Constructed: 4.25/5.00
(It takes some set up to get out but will reward you
greatly for doing so.)
Limited: 2.75/5.00 (An amazing card if you
can stall long enough to get it out. It is a slower
game in most limited cases, but getting to ten mana
is still a chore.)
I hope you enjoyed this week’s
reviews! I’ll be trying to get more consistent
updates for you guys so make sure you keep checking
in here and stay tuned for number three on the list!
