Welcome to Wednesday's Card of the Day review! I know you guys like preview cards but we don't have any for you today, but later today Wizards of the Coast will be posting at least one up on their Kaijudo.com website, so be sure to check them out! Well, as I said yesterday, we're reviewing Stephenie Meyer, so let's get started shall we?

Name: Twilight Commander
Civilization:
Light
Type: Creature
Race:
Skyforce Champion
Level:
5
Power:
5000
Flavor Text: "To rest is to admit defeat. Rise and fight, or stay and fall. The choice is yours."
Rarity: Rare
Set Number: 11/55 I 4EVO

Abilities:

Rally- Whenever this creature attacks, you may choose one of your creatures that has less power than this creature and untap it.

First off, this is at the very least a very balanced card in terms of statistics; it has 5000 power for 5 mana. Add to the fact that it has a potentially devastating effect it definitely can make this card playable in the right deck.

Commander is the cheapest costing Skyforce Champion, so if you're trying to run the deck and use Ra-Vu, the Stormbringer, then this is one of the easiest ways to bring it out. Let's get more into the meat of this card, its effect. Rally allows you to untap one of your creatures that has less power than this card when it attacks, allowing for multiple attacks per turn or the chance to untap that skirmishing blocker that just swung in a few moments ago.

The main downside to this cards effect, is that you have to wait a turn to be able to get it to work; it isn't an evolution and it doesn't have Fast Attack, so you'll need to be a little more patient when playing this card. The other issue that most people will run into is that Commander's power is just a little too low. If he even had 5500 he could open up more combos with cards like Emperor Neuron, Hydra Medusa, Gilaflame, the Assaulter, and so on.

There are options to remove this limitation however. There are cards in this game that can boost a creatures power level such as Magma Madness, Overcharge, Flame Aura, or Power Surge. By using these you can untap stronger creatures when Twilight Commander goes in for its attack, potentially allowing you to untap a Double Breaker or some creature with an amazing ability. There is even a combo with Twilight Commander, Alcadeus, Winged Justice, and Magma Madness where you can have an endless amount of attacks! As long as you have Alcadeus and Commander in the battle zone where they are both able to attack, you play Magma Madness on Commander giving him Powerful Attack +4000 and Double Breaker. When Commander attacks he can untap Alcadeus since Commander will have 9000 power to Alcadeus' 6000 and similarly enough, Alcadeus can untap Commander when he attacks since Commander is a Level 5. As long as you don't hit a shield blast that banishes or removes one of your creatures or your opponent has a Gran Gure, Tower Keeper or Star Lantern in the battle zone, you will win that turn.

Overall, if you plan on running a Skyforce Champion deck, you'll need access to this card. It also opens a lot of room for attack combos in the future. I recommend if you ever see this card and Alcadeus in the battle zone at the same time that you get rid of one of them as soon as possible!

Ratings:

Constructed: 3.50/5.00 (This card can create some crazy combos and usually will give you at least one extra attack per turn but is normally meant to trigger abilities of other Skyforce Champions like Urth or evolving to Ra-Vu.)

Limited: 3.00/5.00 (Not a bad card in Evo Fury Limited play but unless you plan on swinging in there with a bunch of small Level 1-3 creatures you might get stuck with Commander not being able to untap your power cards and Evolutions.)

Make sure to stop back tomorrow when we take a look at one of the Choten's right hand...  uhm, men? Until then guys remember to keep calm and game on!

Twilight Commander Review:

Hows it going Pojo. Another review today!

Twilight Commander

Light

Skyforce Champion

Cost 5

Power 5000

Rally — Whenever this creature attacks, you may choose one of your creatures that has less power than this creature and untap it.

Although the effect reads simple enough. There are so many applications that this card could have. That is one of my favorite aspects about this game.

So where to begin! I suppose I should talk about the card advantage you could generate with the Attack Effect Squad (Aqua Seneschal, Gigastand, Razoride, etc.) or how his allows for super aggresive playstyle that the light civilization tends to lack, but I should probably talk about the Infinite Attack combo associated with this and Alcadeus, Winged Justice.

So if you somehow increase Twilight Commander's power say with Power Surge. By alternating Alcadeus and Twilight Commander's effect you literally attack (barring no sheild blasts) as many times as possible. Although right now these cards are hard to put on the field at the same time and its near impossible to pull it off consisantly. Who knows what future cards will be revealed that allow to put SkyForce Champions on the field quicker and what other cards could allow to power up your creatures.

Although not competitive, it is fun to think about.

Summary:
Neat card, decently costed for its effect. Not to mention it's a Skyforce Champion to boot, allowing for evolution for this weeks already discussed Ra-Vu The Storm Bringer. However that's about where it ends. It will be interesting to see where it pops up when we get my Skyforce Champion support.

Constructed 2.5/5

Limited 3/5

Welcome back to the Pojo.com card of the day section. Today we are looking at Twilight Commander. Twilight Commander is a level five light civilization monster with 5000 power. Twilight Commander has the ability Rally, which says whenever this monster attacks, you may untap a monster you control with less power than the Twilight Commander.

Twilight Commander is a really fun card in that it could allow you to swing with a blocker and then use the Twilight Commander to untap it so that it is ready to block for you on your opponent's turn. But it could also function as a way to protect a weaker, but better monster from an opponent attacking the monster directly.

Really a fun card that should find its way into a lot of light civ decks if just to grant the ability to swing with a blocker and then have it untapped.

Limited: 4/5

Constructed: 4/5
