Hey all of you Kaijudo fans out
there! I wanted to start the day off by letting you
all know that I have recently put a Kaijudo Duel
video up on my YouTube page! I plan on doing more of
these on a weekly basis, as long as my schedule is
permits. So check out the link under my name and let
me know what content you would like to see in the
future! Today's Card of the Day is one of the
biggest playable blockers in this game, Grand Gure,
Tower Keeper; let's get started!
Name:
Grand Gure, Tower Keeper
Civilization: Light
Race: Storm Patrol
Level: 6
Power: 9000
Flavor Text:
Commence Orbital bombardment!
Rarity:
Very Rare
Set Number:
6/165 l 3RIS
Abilities:
Blocker
(You may tap this creature to change an enemy
creature's attack to this creature.)
Skirmisher (This creature can attack only
creatures.)
Grand Gure is one of the
reasons I would want to play the Light Civilization.
Sure it can only attack creatures but it pretty much
stops any attack outside of a couple of Evos. 9000
Power is nothing to shake a stick at either,
especially when you take into account that the Light
Civilization likes to tap creatures frequently.
The biggest weakness this card
has is a shield blast entitled, "Comet Missile".
Those players running Fire Civilization decks are
the most likely to be packing that card and it
completely shuts this guy down for two mana!
Most of the time though, the
easiest answer to this card has to be Terror Pit,
Root Trap, or Hydra Medusa... or if you're me,
Crimson Wyvern ;). I've seen plenty of people get
annoyed with this card as it slows down the tempo of
the game tremendously if you don't have any answers.
Even Neuron is a bad card against Grand Gure since
it can just swing and demolish him next turn like it
was nothing.
This card is right on the
borderline for some people. They might not want to
run a Level 6 Blocker and instead they'll settle
with a Level 4 5000 power Blocker instead... but
there's such a huge difference in playability! I've
also seen this card comboed in decks with Cobalt,
The Storm Knight and it works great.
Give it a try, it's by far one
of the best Blockers out there in terms of raw power
and people who aren't using a Fire deck will have
more problems removing this guy from the field.
Ratings:
Constructed:
3.75/5.00 (A very strong blocker choice that
avoids most
commonly used Shield Blasts outside of Comet
Missile and other Level 7 spells; a great choice in
a Light Civilization deck.)
Limited:
4.50/5.00 (In Limited play there aren't a whole
lot of answers to blockers of this magnitude!.)
That does it for today's Card
of the Day, stop out tomorrow when we review a king
of the Water Civilization! Don't forget to check out
my YouTube channel for new content; see you around!
