Welcome back my fellow Kaijudo
Duel Masters! It's the first day of August and a
fresh new month to look forward to! No need to live
in the past and if life hands you lemons... well,
you can make lemonade or write a card review about
it, so I chose the latter. Let's get right to
today's review of Fullmetal Lemon: Blenderfood.
Name:
Fullmetal Lemon
Civilization: Light/Nature
Type:
Creature
Race: Enforcer/Wild Veggie
Level: 3
Power: 3500
Flavor Text:
"Who ordered the lemon aid?"
Rarity:
Common
Set Number:
81/110 l 7CLA
Abilities:
(This card enters your mana zone tapped.)
Blocker
(You may tap this creature to change an enemy
creature's attack to this creature.)
Skirmisher (This creature can attack only
creatures.)
Juiced-
If this creature would be banished, put it into your
mana zone instead.
Okay, so obviously I thought of
Fullmetal Alchemist when I first saw this card and
even more interesting, I've been watching the show
pretty regularly prior to the release of Clash. I
still wonder if it had anything to do with the show
when they were discussing it in the R&D department.
Alright, we have a Light/Nature
Blocker that happens to be an Enforcer. It also has
the Skirmisher ability making it far more playable
than if it was just a simple Blocker. Add to the
fact that it has a respectable 3500 power and it
goes to the mana zone if it gets banished and you
have yourself an amazing card!
In the release of Clash of the
Duel Masters they gave us quite a bit of Enforcer
support. Sadly, I haven't seen a whole lot of decks
trying to utilize the Evolution support such as
Cobalt. Secondly, this guy seems to have
unlemonade
potential! Blockers like Scaradorable of Gloom
Hollow had an issue with getting banished by Heat
Seekers or other similar cards. With the lemon, he
gets around all of that! Even in the worst case
scenario, he will force your opponent to give you an
extra mana by either attacking or using a removal
spell; it's a win-win!
If you're using Light/Nature
cards in your deck, I would strongly consider this
card for your line up. It has so much versatility
and it can even trade-off with Keeper of Laws in the
battle zone giving you mana in the process!
Ratings:
Constructed:
4.25/5.00 (Such a great Blocker! Sometimes I
anxiously await just for my opponent to banish him;
he's one sour lemon-pucker!)
Limited:
4.25/5.00 (A great card for limited and can get
you to those later creatures a lot sooner!)
Hope to see you all tomorrow
when we conclude our week of reviews and go on a
little bit of a hiatus. Make sure to check out my
channel for new content and until next time my
fellow Kaijudo Duel Masters, keep calm and game on!
